SPRAWLING COUNTRYSIDE Bear Creek Farm consists of 1,019+/- acres of bucolic countryside near Moreland, Georgia in Coweta County, 45 minutes south of Atlanta. The property features a custom-built, country-manor home with stunning architectural detail throughout, three guest cottages, a 26-stall barn, eight paddocks, seven pastures with run-in sheds including seven miles of black, fourboard fences, numerous Bermuda hayfields, a jumping arena and a covered dressage arena. Nestled within this rolling terrain are miles of existing trails, perfect for horseback riding and hunting. Also enjoyed on this pastoral land are a five-stand sporting clay course, pavilion, pumphouse kitchen, pool, tennis court,Texas fire pit, an owner’s kennel, a Bear Creek Hounds kennel and three stocked fishing ponds.

BEAR CREEK HOUNDS The late George Chase and his wife Jan purchased the original 578+/- acre tract in 1966 and converted it into a horse farm and named it Chaseaway. The Chases were members of the Shakerag Foxhounds and invited Shakerag to hunt Chaseaway several times a year. Hal and Linda Barry acquired Chaseaway in 1981, renamed the property Bear Creek Farm, and it served as their weekend retreat until 1991, when they moved full-time to Bear Creek Farm from Atlanta. The Barrys acquired several additional parcels of land over the next 10 years and Bear Creek Farm now includes 1,019+/- well maintained contiguous acres. Mr. B. H. Hardaway III hunted his Midland Foxhounds at Bear Creek Farm for many years. In 2002 the Barrys started the Bear Creek Hounds, kenneled at Bear Creek, and hunted by Mr. Graham Buston, a professional huntsman who previously hunted the Waterford and Limerick Hounds in Ireland.
