LIFE IN LOMA LINDA We’re a small university town with a large presence in the Inland Empire and throughout the world. We balance small town charm with a global leadership role in medical science and higher education, ever seeking to sustain the positive aspects of our community – the reason we live and raise our families here, with growth and technological innovations. The city provides a globally recognized, award-winning fiber optic network that delivers high speed Internet connectivity to residents and local businesses. Another innovation that’s also popular is an oldfashioned farmer’s market held every Sunday, where residents buy farm-fresh produce, enjoy great food and music, and meet friends and family.
The commitment to maintaining the quality of life in Loma Linda is as apparent now as it has been in the past. Much of Loma Linda’s past and future can be summed up in the title of the book, Sunshine, Citrus and Science, which chronicles the growth of the City as an outpost of the San Gabriel Mission to the Loma Linda of today, known world-wide for medical accomplishments and higher education. The tenacious will and industrious spirit of those who
