ower north shore real estate agents Anthony Godson and Nick Gittoes are making their mark in Mosman and the surrounding suburbs. They have achieved unprecedented results for their growing number of lifelong clients. The duo teamed up five years ago, providing their clients with the rare advantage of two fully qualified, high performing agents working on their sale. This collaboration has resulted in some outstanding results, including setting the sale price record for 2020 in Clifton Gardens at $14,500,000 and selling another property for well over the vendor’s expectations in just 90 minutes. We sat down with the pair and discussed how the property market is performing and their stellar results on the lower north shore. First, the question I’m sure you get asked all the time – how’s the market performing? Anthony: Speaking specifically to the lower north shore, the market is thriving. We’re seeing a number of expats return to Sydney and they are keen to buy in the Mosman area, specifically highend properties. We’re also seeing enthusiastic upsizers in the market, as funds that may have previously gone towards a holiday are now going towards a new home. The low interest rates have been a great incentive for demand and buyers have been out in full force. 28

You’re gaining a standout reputation in the market. How long have you been in the industry? Anthony: Nick and I have been working together for five years and we haven’t looked back since. We have over 15 years of combined experience in the lower north shore market. Over those years we’ve put in a lot of hard work every day to get us to this point, where we are now reputable suburb experts.

You’re working with real estate agency Atlas by LJ Hooker. How has this impacted your business? Nick: We’ve been with Atlas since its inception. We identified that it was going to improve the way we did business, and ultimately, our clients’ experience. Atlas has definitely done this; we couldn’t have achieved our results without being affiliated with such an innovative brand. The support team at Atlas provides Anthony and I with around-the-clock service for any administration, marketing MOSE01Z01MA - V0

or technology queries we might have, including day-today activities and issues. This has ensured we could focus on giving our clients the best possible results, taking the time to understand what our clients truly want to achieve from the process. It also allows us to spend more time finding buyers and negotiating. How has it been working as a team? Anthony: Nick and I are very aligned in terms of our values and work ethic. We really motivate each other, which enables us to create a very high-level of output, but most importantly great customer service. We hold each other accountable daily so nothing can slip through the cracks. What are the challenges of the industry? Nick: Before joining Atlas, I would have said the main frustrations were to do with a lack of time, transparency and administrative support. It was structurally wrong – at least for the kind of business Anthony V0 - MOSE01Z01MA

and I wanted to run. Atlas has eliminated almost all of this and has allowed us to spend time with buyers and sellers. The market right now is fantastic, so we’re having fun connecting sellers and buyers, and making great deals happen.

How do you get to know your core areas? Anthony: We work in the lower north shore with a focus on Mosman, Neutral Bay, Cremorne, Cammeray and Northbridge. We study the market all day, we have our finger on the pulse and know exactly what is going on in the property sector while staying emersed in the community. Nick and I both live in this area, so I suppose we are among it day in, day out. But more specifically, we love our sport so we decided to get involved in Mosman Cricket Club. You can find us at Allan Border Oval Friday afternoons working the bar and sausage sizzle – it’s the best value on the lower north shore! MOSMAN DAILY, Thursday, February 11, 2021
