Who would have thought that at the beginning of 2021 we would see the soaring real estate market that we are experiencing now?
So far this year there has been a palpable change in market sentiment on the ground and this is reflected in strong buyer activity. In June, my team and I secured the buyers and negotiated the sales of two of the best properties on the North Shore. These negotiations resulted in suburb record prices for Lindfield and Gordon for 2021. These sales now join Atlas’s ever growing list of high end sales and suburb record sales throughout the North Shore. May was also a record month for me personally selling $23m worth of sales (mostly in Roseville).
The challenge in the market this year continues to be the lack of stock on offer for the large number of buyers wanting to buy. This has resulted in auction clearance rates remaining in the high 80% range for almost five months straight. Will this boom continue, or will there be a downturn next year? The experts got it wrong last year and coming into 2021, so time will tell but at the moment it looks like anytime will be a good time to sell this year.
