Bosch Professional has announced that it has launched a UK Instagram channel. The new channel builds on the success of its award-winning UK Facebook channel, and will offer tradespeople the opportunity to get all the latest news on its power tools, measuring tools and accessories.

Alongside news it will feature regular tool reviews from a wide range of well-known tradespeople. They will show the tools in use and give their genuine thoughts on the tools.

The channel will also showcase videos and information on its latest innovative technologies such as BITURBO Technology, highlighting its revolutionary performance thanks to the high-performance brushless motor which exploits the full potential of ProCORE18V batteries.

The channel will launch with BIG competitions offering tradespeople the chance to win tools from its BITURBO range including:

The channel will also offer UK tradespeople the chance to apply to become a tool tester. You may have heard of #builtwithBosch, where tradespeople apply to become product testers. Every few months Bosch runs a new round where tools are sent out free of charge for testers to put through their paces on site, and then share their thoughts on social media. The best part is that they get to keep the tools for free afterwards.

Now, with the launch of the UK Instagram page (@boschprouk), Bosch is taking this to a whole new level, giving hundreds more people the chance to get involved. The full details of which tools and accessories that lucky applicants will be getting their hands on in 2021 have not been revealed yet, but they will be from the new BITURBO Brushless range, Bosch’s most powerful cordless 18V tools yet.

HAMILTON ADDS SIX- AND NINE-GANG GRID PLATES TO ITS HARTLAND G2 COLLECTION

Hamilton Litestat has expanded its grid wiring solutions within the ‘push-to-fit’ Hartland G2 collection to include six- and nine-gang grid plates - available in 10 finishes, including metallics: polished brass, satin brass and etrium bronze, as well as on-trend matt black.

NEW DOOR ENTRY CAMERA TERMINALS WITH HEALTH SCREENING FUNCTIONS

Remsdaq has launched a new range of facial recognition camera terminals with artificial intelligence functions for body temperature and face mask screening.

The camera terminals are ideal for organisations looking to make their buildings COVID-secure using contactless technologies and can measure temperatures to within +/-0.3°C. They can be used as a stand-alone screening solution or installed as part of a building’s access control system using a built-in Wiegand interface.

The camera terminals can be stand-mounted, wallmounted or fitted to an entrance turnstile and are easy to set-up. Typical applications including screening visitors, patients, students, customers, employees and subcontractors who want to enter a building or areas inside where people mix and need to be protected.

The camera terminals store up to 25,000 events and can connect to local IP networks. ESP REVAMPS SANGAMO TIMERS AND HEATING CONTROLS RANGE

ESP has made a significant investment in recent months to develop its Sangamo range of timers and heating controls.

The new-look Sangamo offer can be broken down into four main product categories - Timer Controllers, Thermostats, Programmable Thermostats and Programmers, with a total of 15 products making up the comprehensive range.

BIGCHANGE MOBILE TECH BOOSTS PROVIDOR’S SMART METER BUSINESS

Energy metering company, Providor, has transformed its business with the latest mobile technology to become one of the UK’s primary smart metering companies. With the roll-out of a mobile resource management system from Leeds-based BigChange, Providor has replaced a number of systems and eliminated paperwork with the fully digital real-time works and management solution.

Providor’s engineers complete over 1,200 jobs a day using JobWatch, the BigChange mobile app, and there are over 100 other users of the system in customer services and operations, located at the company’s call centre in Elland and head office in Newmarket.
