AWE begins a new partnership delivering the advantages of Bowers & Wilkins into the custom install channel.

Monday 16 August 2021 was a seismic day for UK custom installers. On this day, Sound United, the global force in audio manufacturing, announced that AWE Europe would be the exclusive UK CI distributor for the renowned loudspeaker brand, Bowers & Wilkins, and audiophile electronics company, Rotel. The partnership has been positively received by dealers and it’s clear to see why.

What’s In It For Bowers & Wilkins Dealers?

To reflect the premium nature of the brands, AWE will supply Bowers & Wilkins and Rotel under selective distribution agreements. Products from each brand will only be available to approved CI dealers at trade pricing displayed on the AWE website. Existing Bowers & Wilkins and Rotel dealers are pre-approved as an accredited Dealer on the AWE system.

Underpinning this strategy will be AWE’s proven commitment to the highest standards of service and support, in line with the premium reputation of these two performance-led brands.

What will this mean in practice?

Firstly, AWE will build substantial stock at its warehouse in Epsom, with the aim of providing next day delivery on a vast range of Bowers & Wilkins and Rotel products across the UK. Ordering efficiency will also be improved for integrators, as Bowers & Wilkins and Rotel join other Sound United brands; Denon, Marantz, and Definitive Technology already at AWE, streamlining multiple brand orders.

On the service and support front, AWE’s experienced team with a wealth of CI technical knowledge will be on hand to assist dealers with product specification and system design advice, supported by the manufacturer’s own product experts.

On show or integrated, Bowers & Wilkins is a strong choice for media room and cinema projects

One of the most exciting developments will be the access that Bowers & Wilkins and Rotel installers will now have access to a premium grade demonstration and training facility for themselves and their clients. AWE’s HQ in Epsom is currently being upgraded throughout, with the Reference Cinema being completely rebuilt to feature Bowers & Wilkins CI 800 Series Diamond speakers and Custom Theatre subwoofers in a 7.4.6 configuration. A Marantz Processor feeds into a stack of Rotel Power Amplifiers housed in a new 44U rack located in the adjacent comms room. This powerful, immersive audio system will be matched by the incredible 4m wide HDR picture provided by a 10,000 lumen Sony VPL-GTZ380 Native 4k laser projector. Wow!

Opening in October 2021, AWE’s upgraded Reference Cinema will deliver an awe-inspiring cinema experience with the specification scalable to suit a wide range of premium clients. AWE’s performance cinema, den and other show areas provide further options, covering every budget. Dealers can register online to book a visit in, with or without their clients, and will be supported on-site by AWE’s experienced team.
