THE BATMAN

A-list actors Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz are jumpstarting the next generation of Batman movies with a punch. The duo slips into the iconic roles of Bruce Wayne and Catwoman with the slickness of the latter's black latex catsuit. They are perfect, both having carried high-grossing, action-packed films, while their authentic, award-winning performances in indie films show off their raw portrayals of the beaten down human soul. Together, they bring chic grit to Gotham City. It’s a dark, gothic portrayal of the gloomy and sullen city, rife with anger. Pattinson’s superhero is not one to mess with, whipping through a graveyard on his motorcycle, beating up bad guys and busting through raging fires in his indestructible Batmobile. Paul Dano creeps as ruthless serial killer The Riddler, murdering Gotham City’s elite one by one, while Collin Farrell delivers blows as rising mobster Penguin. In theaters 3/4

THE LOST CITY

This adventure rom-com is being served up as a flirty mixture of reality meets fantasy. Sandra Bullock’s homebound romance novelist Loretta Sage's only sense of adventure is when she’s in the bathtub sipping chardonnay and ice or in the sensual words she writes - until she is kidnapped by twisted billionaire Fairfax, played by the dashing Daniel Radcliffe. The Harry Potter superstar infuses a delish sense of fresh terror in his role, believing the hot-mess writer has the key to the hidden treasure buried in the real lost city in her head. Channing Tatum steps in as romance novel cover model Alan, who goes on a quest to rescue her from the island she’s been flown to. He is “certified in CPR and Crossfit,” after all. Brad Pitt also makes a cameo as a beefy military hunk trying to save Bullock.

In theaters 3/25 BRIDGERTON SSN 2

The boujee world of Bridgerton returns for season two. Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor’s Duke and Duchess are taking a step back. They are happily married living their rich fantasy, still cocooned in the cloudy halo of being parents to a newborn. Jonathan Bailey as woman-chasing Antony Bridgerton is now stepping into the limelight in his public search for love. Sex Education’s Simone Ashley is also getting the screen time she’s always deserved as the cunning Kate Sharma, his love interest. The beautiful Indian debutant, her mother and sisters are introduced to the lavish world this season as the new diamonds on display. Golda Rosheuvel is also back as gossipy queen Charlotte. In last season's finale we finally got the inside scoop as to who Lady Whistledown is, producer of society gossip pages. Who in her inner circle will find out first? Netflix 3/25
