SPUD: Meet Spud! When this sweet, six-year-old boxer mix arrived, he was seriously overweight with an untreated thyroid problem and heartworms. He has since started daily medication to control his thyroid, has started exercising regularly, and will be treated for heartworms once his forever home is found. This reformed couch potato's ideal home will have no cats, keep him active and at a healthy weight (he LOVES playing with other dogs and people), continue with his thyroid medication, and keep him on heartworm preventive. His adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm treatment. CORRIE: Corrie is a three-year-old shepherd/retriever mix. She's a little shy at first but warms up quickly with some gentle pets and snackos. She loves car rides with the windows down and being near her person. Corrie will flourish in a patient home with no cats, small animals or little kids. Her adoption fee is $150 and includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip.

COOKIE: C is for Cookie, the cutest cat you'll meet! This two-year-old tuxedo girl was a pregnant mom of four when she arrived at VHS. Her batch of kittens have all been adopted, but Cookie has been waiting months for her own home! Her adoption fee is $70 and includes her spay, microchip and vaccination.
