MOOSE Local psych rock band releases second live set from last summer Collective

Back in November, News 4U reported on an exciting new music project based in improvisation comprising two members from local pop-punk outfit Sluice - bassist Mitch Angle and drummer Chris Dawson - joined by Hayden Crane on guitar and Tayler File on synth/electronics. These four musicians, bound by a love for psych rock and experimentation, had just documented their live debut via the Fuchsia Fest 8/14/21 release which captured 30 minutes of exhilaratingly spontaneous playing in front of an appreciative crowd. It was an auspicious beginning for Moose Collective with the promise of more extended spacey jams to recorded just two weeks after their live debut. And MC have delivered with From the ARTSWIN Rooftop, another rewarding exploration in sound "Intrepid Traveler" and "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena" are equally impressive - and wonderfully out there - as wah-wah guitar battles to fend off shards of distortion in a fight to the death. Both tracks are again anchored by Angle and Dawson who always pull MC back from the brink just as musical implosion nears. It's galvanizing, to say the least. As Crane notes, "Let these recordings melt into your skull like any popsicle would've on that hot ass day in August."
