The addition of a new baby requires a lot of planning... for your labor, for your home, for your career... even for things like college, which probably seems like it’s light-years away. But life with children is busy, and as everyone says, time flies by faster than ever, so planning allows us to stay on top of the things that are important to us.
The Baby Plan was designed to help you plan for the future as well... a future when you’ll look back on this crazy, fleeting time and want to revisit it. When your five year-old walks timidly into his new classroom, when your pre-teen shreds the last of your patience, when your college student calls to tell you she’s headed abroad for her new job, or when you want to compare your baby’s pouty mouth with your new grandchild’s, your photo album will be the first place you turn... and the Baby Plan ensures that that album will be full of gorgeous, heirloom-quality photographs documenting your newborn’s first year. The Baby Plan includes a choice of three or four sessions to document your baby’s first year, scheduled to capture all of the major developmental milestones. Along with looking forward to an incredible set of images, you’ll enjoy special session pricing, products designed specifically for the Plan, and some sweet gifts along the way. the plan There are two parts to the pricing for each Baby Plan. The first part is the session fee, which includes: • A personalized pre-session consultation, covering everything you need to know about the baby plan, my products, and how your sessions will go. • Three or four one- to two-hour sessions spread out over the first year of your baby’s life (three sessions for the Baby Plan, four sessions for the Baby Plan Plus). • The culling and preparation of between thirty and forty images after each session, including color correction and basic retouching. • An in-home reveal following each session, showcasing your new images and making plans for how best to display them. • All album and wall gallery design services. • Special plan-specific perks and gifts.
the package The second part is the custom-designed package we build to help you enjoy the photographs we make for years to come. Depending on your needs and preferences, your package can include any combination of: • prints • folios • albums
• frames & galleries • fine art cards • digital files
We will design your package during the pre-session consultation and build the package over the course of the year. Payment may be made up front, or divided into monthly credit card payments which will be drafted automatically.

All photographic prints are hand-made in the studio using archival inks and papers designed to provide perfect color representation and state-of-the-art longevity. The difference between these prints and any you can have made by a commercial lab is immediately evident: they are true pieces of photographic art. Every print purchase includes a web-resolution, watermarked version of the corresponding image.

decorating tip: Though these galleries were designed to
look great on just about any wall as presented, remember that they can be broken up and rearranged to suit your decor and needs, so feel free to use your imagination. For instance, the images in Gallery B look equally great in horizontal orientation, or arranged in two smaller galleries, and the two small frames in Gallery A make great gifts for grandparents or decoration for the office!

A L B U M S heirloom art for your home
Custom albums are a cornerstone of the Megapixie portrait experience, and are a simple, timeless way to record the story of your session and your life... now, and for generations to come. Albums are designed to artfully showcase all of your favorite images on archival photographic paper, bound in your choice of beautiful silks, linens, and leathers. The Iris and Whistler books are handmade by artisans in California, and differ only in page thickness (Iris’ pages are 4mm thick; Whistler’s are 2mm). The Jade is an outstanding machine-made alternative, offering excellent quality at an exceptional value.
gift idea: Companion albums are duplicates of the original
session album. Since the design and layout work are already done, companion albums are available in any model, size, and cover option at 25% off the original price. They make great gifts, and are a favorite among grandparents!

Most people would agree that the goal of a custom portrait session is to produce beautiful, tangible photographic art for your home... not to have a disk to stick in a drawer or a few new images for Facebook. That said, these days many clients want to own the images from their session in a way that allows them to make prints now and later, and back up their memories in case their prints are damanged or lost. Digital files are delivered online for instant download* and include both the color and black & white edits of every purchased image. All high resolution digital files come with instructions for preserving and printing, as well as a signed print release, which is required by many print labs. Complete set of high resolution files: 1250/session (Baby Plan clients: 1000) Individual high resolution files: 150 (Baby Plan clients: 125) *Images may be delivered via DVD on request.
