A native of Minneapolis, Thad Wong began his Chicago real estate career in 1996 and quickly established himself as one of the most successful REALTORS® in the city. During his early years in the business, Wong personally recorded more than $300 million in sales and earned three consecutive Golden Eagle Awards from the Chicago Association of REALTORS® as the top-producing broker among the organization’s more than 10,000 members. Originally from Boston, Mike Golden graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where he earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Economics. He came to Chicago in the early 1990’s and began working as an HR consultant to Fortune 500 companies. Golden embarked on his real estate career in 1995, utilizing his keen analytical abilities and entrepreneurial spirit to earn him a place as one of the city’s all-time top sellers of residential real estate. Golden and Wong joined forces in the late 90’s and became the #2 sales team in Chicago in 1998 and #3 in 1999. In the year 2000, their formidable presence in the city earned them a coveted #1 position for three years consecutively.
With the cornerstones of tremendous personal sales success, a longstanding friendship, shared philosophies and a mutual vision for the future of Chicago real estate, Mike Golden and Thad Wong embarked on the most significant venture of their collective careers — the founding of @properties in the year 2000.
Golden utilized his vast business acumen to solidify the core infrastructure of the firm, laying the groundwork for the key financial, organizational and process aspects of the company.
