24 FOUNDATION'S INAUGURAL 24,000 MILE CHALLENGE SUPPORTS LITTLE HEROES

Beginning on January 9, 2021, everyday superheroes took to the streets, neighborhood parks, and their own backyards to join 24 Foundation for the inaugural “24,000 Mile Challenge.” The two-day virtual event, which encouraged community supporters to collectively complete 24,000 miles of activity, raised over $41,000 to support the greatest heroes of all – children battling cancer.

To date, 24 Foundation has raised more than $5.5 million collectively for Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children's Hospital through community fundraising events, supporting adult and pediatric cancer survivorship and wellness programs.

CANCER SURVIVORSHIP AND WELLNESS PROGRAM

A common thread that connects all people facing cancer is the need for a good support system. And Levine Cancer Institute’s Department of Supportive Oncology offers just that in its Cancer Survivorship and Wellness program which is designed to support patients, as well as their family members and caregivers, throughout their cancer journeys. The program aims to decrease negative symptoms associated with cancer treatment, to improve patients’ health, to facilitate recovery, and nurture patients’ overall well-being.
