Today the jail is a national monument and is very well-kept. The place opens for visitors from 9:30 AM to 4 PM. It remains closed on Mondays, as Monday is the state holiday. • Ross Island - It is a major island falling under the Andaman and Nicobar island group. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to reach the island by boat. During the British colonial era, it was their administrative capital. Now, the place is a paradise for the history lovers, as it has multiple old British buildings that are on ruins. Besides, the place also houses lots of peacocks and deer which is another reason behind tourists visiting the island.

Corbyn's Cave - Popular among locals, the Crobyn;s Cave is one of the major attractions in Port Blair tourism. People come here to swim, watch sunset, and enjoy the sun-bleached sand. However, visitors have to little attentive as the currents here can be strong and also because of the fact that part of the beach was washed away by 2004 tsunami.
