Taking a nostalgic train journey on the Indian Railways
Indian railway is one of the largest and most comprehensive railway systems in the world. Running since over a one and half century Indian Railway has provided the people with a cheap, convenient, and effective mode of transport. Travelling in a train is a must-experience thing. Book the tickets, inquire PNR Status at regular time interval, and get going to destinations.
Every now and then we all have to travel. Most of the population living in India prefer to travel on trains over fights as they are convenient, effective, and easily under the budget of many. Plus, the adaptation of
modern techniques and luxuries of the 21st century have made travelling by trains a wholesome experience. The Indian Railway is one of the largest and most comprehensive railway networks in the world. Although, its plan was put forward in 1832, but it is only a little more than a decade later, that is in 1844, that the actual work was put into action. The first ever passenger train to run was from Bori Bandar to Thane on 16th April 1853, and since then onward people have been travelling on trains, such that today they are the most preferred modes to get into destinations. It is generally advised to book the train tickets well in advance as there is a long queue of travelers. In most of the cases, one has to wait for long as they move up in the waiting list. Doing a PNR Status check lets you known all the necessary information about your train as well as journey, including your status on the waiting list. Plus, you could also see the train routes, which is quite helpful for travelers who like to keep a track of everything.
Another mode of booking tickets is the Tatkal Ticket Booking. It is basically made of the travelers of the last moment and provides an easy, quick, and effective mode of booking confirmed tickets. However, in most of the cases you are not the only one booking tatkal tickets, so at times doing tatkal ticket booking becomes a task to accomplish. However, there are certain tips and tricks that raise your chances of booking such tickets. The tatkal tickets become available for booking one day ahead of travel. Although, bookings are available at the Railway reservation counter, but many prefer to do it via the IRCTC website or the IRCTC mobile app.
One of the tricks that you can use to get a tatkal ticket is by using multiple accounts. It is an effective way to raise your chances of getting a tatkal ticket. Two to three accounts are sufficient for the purpose. Besides, using four or more is simply not advisable as it becomes difficult to keep a track of the things. Note that for creating an account on the IRCTC website you need to register a mobile number and one account is associated with only one mobile number. An additional thing that you can do is to use different web browsers, like Mozilla Firefox,
Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc. and log in using different accounts and try to book the tickets.
Another excellent utility that has to do with train booking is PNR Prediction. It is applicable in the normal way of booking tickets. Its purpose is to predict weather your train ticket, which is waiting list for the time, will be confirmed before the journey or not. Make use of it, if you are to travel soon!
