Course Reps As a Course Rep at the Arts University Bournemouth you will play an important role as a voice of your fellow students; relaying issues, concerns and queries to both course teams and the Students’ Union. As a Course Rep you may also occasionally have the opportunity to discuss specific matters with the University Management Team (UMT). If it is your first time as a Course Rep then you may be unsure about some aspects of the role, and so will probably have some questions – head over to: aubsu.co.uk/representation/course-reps to answer some of these and help you to understand how to make the most of the role. As a Course Rep, you will be offered training and support from both the Students’ Union and the University to ensure that you feel as supported as possible in your new position. An initial mandatory induction and training session, which all new Course Reps attend, will set you off on the right foot and also give you the chance to meet other new Course Reps and discuss any questions that may not have been answered. Feel free to email or phone AUBSU if you have any

Freshers Information Fresher’s week Each year the Students’ Union holds a series of events spread over the first two weeks for new students (and old). Taking part in the wide range of events that take place provides a great chance to meet new people and settle into university life. These two weeks involve a whole range of activities, nights out, live performances and art events. Fresher’s Week also includes the Fresher’s Fair, which this year will take place on the 18th September on campus. This is where local and national businesses offer their services and products to students at discount prices – a great chance to get lots of freebies! This is also when you have the chance to sign up for sports, clubs and societies, which are a great way to explore your interests and make new friends. Fresher’s Week will start in the week prior to Induction Week and tickets for the events will be available to purchase on-line at aubsu.co.uk/shop Please be sure to check that any tickets advertised on-line are genuine AUB tickets, with links from the AUB and AUBSU websites - get in touch with us
