The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Better known as OLLI at Auburn, this is University Outreach’s community of learning designed for people over 50, many of whom are retired or semi-retired. OLLI offers modestly priced, engaging courses in a range of subjects including science, history, literature, memoir and creative writing, studio art, hiking, foreign languages, cooking, and digital literacy. There are regular workshops, field trips and opportunities to socialize.

The Auburn Public Library inspires people to explore new ideas, pursue their dreams and change their lives. The 35,000-square-foot facility located on the corner of Thach Avenue and Dean Road houses a collection over 100,000 items, including books, audiobooks, DVDs and more. Public computers, printers and photocopiers are available for patrons’ needs. The library also offers a digital collection available 24/7 that includes eBooks, downloadable audiobooks and digital magazines. Requests for materials are always welcome.
The library offers a wide range of programs and classes for all ages, including several weekly storytimes, author programs and the Summer Learning Challenge. An outdoor classroom was also recently opened at the library, offering additional space for programs and events and a welcoming destination for patrons to gather.
