The employees of Auburn Public Safety Services strive to protect the safety of Auburn’s residents and visitors. The City of Auburn enjoys extremely low rates of crime and fire loss well below the national average, as well as a very high level of citizen satisfaction through the effective delivery of high-quality emergency response and preventive services.

The Police Department consists of over 160 men and women who serve to reduce crime and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors of the City and Auburn University.

Auburn Emergency Management & Communications processes over 250,000 emergency communications a year, relays information and instructions for First Responders and coordinates dispatch services for those in need.

The Fire Department consists of six fire stations and is ready to protect the Auburn community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Ambulance services for the City are provided via a contract with East Alabama Health.
