No�ngham headquartered na�onal auc�on house, John Pye & Sons Ltd, has bolstered its Board with the appointment of Bruce Burton as a Director.
Financial Controller, Bruce Burton, joined the business in 2021, was quickly promoted to Associate Director in 2023 and will now join the seven-strong board of the independently owned auc�oneer group.
A chartered accountant and an ac�ve member of the Ins�tute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Bruce oversees the running of John Pye’s finance department, including managing audit and compliance, overseeing payroll for the whole organisa�on and keeps a close eye on auc�on sales/profitability performance against KPIs.
Bruce and his team are responsible for monitoring cashflow and financing, preparing forecasts for prospec�ve business opportuni�es and investments. He also heads up the procurement team, ensuring that the group selects suppliers which best align with its commercial objec�ves and company values.
The appointment is in recogni�on of Bruce’s added value to the business, his proven desire to maximise returns to the company and deliver on customer expecta�ons.
