Auctioneer Thanks Team for Another Solid Year of Trading

Nongham-headquartered naonal aucon house, John Pye & Sons Ltd, is celebrang business success by allocang 40% of its profits to staff bonuses, having exceeded £40 million turnover for its latest financial year.

John Pye has consistently rewarded the team for their hard work. Over the last three years, the firm has paid out over £4 million to employees in bonuses.

The firm improved on its 2021/2022 comparable trading year by over 30%.

Announcing the annual results, Adam Pye, John Pye’s Managing Director, said: "While posng our highest ever revenue total last year, it was far from a usual trading year, due to some major insolvency projects including handling the sale of assets from homeware and furniture designers MADE.com and cycling specialist Moore Large. This year’s results are really posive against our most recent like for like trading year.

“We’ve invested heavily in recent years in new sites, digital innovaon and the customer experience. New bidder registraons are now approaching one million and we’re connuously onboarding major retail clients. We’re looking ahead to another excing year for the business, including the launch of a new blended commerce model. However, we know this wouldn’t be possible without the team that contributes so hugely to our success – each of them is so deserving of this reward.”

In addion to the discreonary end of year bonus, John Pye also gives exceponal employees the opportunity to win £6,000 each quarter. Nominated staff are eligible for a chance to receive the Don Burton Award, in memory of long-serving Don Burton who went above and beyond expectaon in his 36 years at the firm.

Recycling ‘The of the Year’ Update

£25,000 Reward Offered for Recovery of £1.3 million Stolen Assets of QC Polymer PET Recycling Plant

30th November 2024 - Following the theft of a £1.30 million rPET recycling plant at QC Polymer on 7th November, Administrators Nimish Patel and Hasib Howlader, with auctioneers G J Wisdom & Co have offered a £25,000 reward for information leading to the recovery and successful sale of the assets.

The £25,000 reward is being offered for information on the theft at the QC Polymer Recycling Line, which happened between Friday 18th October and Monday 4th November 2024, at the 14, Cannon Business Park site at Gough Road, WV14 8XR.

The Missing Plant Consists of:

 Tomra Op5cal Flake Sorter

Tomra Autosort Bo>le Sorter with EM3 Metal Sensor

 Ken Mills Aries Horizontal Bailer

 Eddy Current Separator

 Boge Air Compressor

1000L Tank & Dryer with Amstar Machinery Equipment to Include a Bail Break

 Trommel Separator

 Cap & Label Separator

 Label Remover

 Pre Washer

 3 x Granulators

 Floa5ng Tanks

 Centrifugal Dryers

 Hot Air Drying System

 Blow Down Vessel

Discharge Silo & Twin Bagging Stand

 Plus, assorted conveyors

Garry Wisdom of GJ Wisdom & Co Ltd, valuers and auctioneers handling this disposal, reports:

“We have good CCTV coverage of the removal of the assets as the theft progressed and the police have

tracked the lorries used to haul the plant away, so that is a positive advancement. Given the value and seriousness of this crime there has been widespread National and International Media coverage, both printed and on national and local TV of the theft, which in addition to our efforts in distributing reward leaflets and our own enquires in the trade, is I understand having a positive effect. We aim to make this equipment and machinery as toxic as we possibly can, ensuring that it is too hot to handle.”

“We are now attempting to sell the remaining equipment held under the Administration from site, because this is only a few remaining items, which are now out of context with what was originally being offered. And finally, I do believe that ultimately, we will locate the equipment for recovery and sale, or prosecute and obtain financial compensation for the theft.”

“When the Administration happened, we were refused entry by the landlord and the building was locked without any means of access to the QC Polymer production plant. Finally, the factory building showed no signs of forced entry.”
