I first learned that I could sing at age 3 and from then on I knew that I wanted to be a singer. I started playing the flute at age 9 and I pursued it pretty heavily. Flute was my principal instrument in college. I sang in my high school talent shows, choir, madrigals, and at church. I learned the bass guitar by sophomore year and played in the school jazz band. Music was healing for me growing up, an escape almost, and that was true for me regarding all of the arts.

‘Way Up’ is her latest song which shares a motivational sense of freedom, enjoying life and breaking through the clouds. Ray of light, shining bright. Her strikingly sexy and liberated attitude shines

My songs are inspired from something that I either personally experienced or witnessed. Some are songs of encouragement written for people in need of elevation. I always try to have some aspect of positivity in every song. A song might talk about negative experiences or emotions at first, but then the chorus will get you to grow past the negativity and to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
