The most obvious component that reduces your maintenance costs while preserving the environment. Fits all of our storage solutions and all other furniture you can drill a hole in.
Active Ventilation System Why? Under the slogan Dynamic Function we have decided that there must be no conflict between interior design and Audiovisual technology. Different media players, computers, amplifiers, etc. generate heat and if the equipment is installed in a normal cabinet - the temperature will be too high.
Dynamic Function
Advantages! • Longer life and better performance of your apparatus. • Less environmental impact. • Freedom in the design of the interior. • Fully automatic solution. • Silent fan with double ball bearings - a maximum of 34.5 dBA.
The Solution!
• Selectable mode – Switch between feed and exhaust.
Our active and fully automatic ventilation system solves all these issues. The system is more efficient, cleaner and more easily placed than an ordinary ventilation grate. This will enable all of your technical equipment to perform care-free and on top of their ability throughout an extended lifespan. The active ventilation system, simply turns your interior design in to professional AV decor!
• Easy installation - 70 mm hole cutter and 12V DC connection.
• The fan is fully automatic and thermostatically controlled. Starts at 28 degrees, switches off at 26 degrees and adjusts the speed progressively in relation to the heat generated in the cupboard. • Twin system option avaliable. One system for feed and one for exhaust. • 5 year guarantee. • CE and WEEE certified, following EU directives CE-LVD: EN60950-1: 2001 (Low Voltage). • One system will replace an entire cubic meters of heated air with 1 cubic meter of ambient air in just three minutes. VENTILATION
What differs normal interior furnishings to AV interior? When we at AudicomPendax design and manufacture technology carts, cabinets, lecterns, AV walls or podiums we see to it that there is enough room for all the technical equipment. We ensure that the contacts and wiring have enough space both in front and in the back of a computer for instance. In the illustation on the right, we have deployed a bit of what separates an ordinary cabinet from our AV technology cabinets. (The door has been omitted for clarity.) As you can see there are cable- and airways, both in and out of the cupboard and through the shelf. If you want to have a lock on the door, we will fix it. Holes for vents and cables are always generous but not so that valuable items can be removed. There is enough width and depth for a 19” rack as well.
The Active Ventilation System consists of a control unit with a built-in thermostat. The thermostat is placed in a separate ventilated compartment in the unit so it can react to the ambient temperature as accurately as possible. The control unit is quickly and safely fixed in the cabinet at the location where the temperature is to be monitored. On the front panel of the control unit is a button with which you can switch between Feed and Exhaust mode. The second part is the fan unit. It has a silver coloured circular enclosure. The fan unit shall be mounted in a hole which is 70mm in diameter with the decorative grille outward. The wire to the control unit is 75cm long which ensures the possibility of an optimal placement in every situation. A switching power supply that converts 230VAC to 12VDC is included. It is ideal for the active ventilation system as it consumes less than a half watt in and does not generate heat.
