A project aimed to offer ecological remediation to a post-industrial landscape, create multiple functions to the site, and reconnect the site to the surrounding community. The site used to be a landmark mining area, which is left unattended A sculpture park and nature reserve is proposed to the site to offer a hideaway for nearby residents and wading birds.

Layers of Landscape

The landscape is made from layers of important components, both physically and historically that builds the current identity to the nearby neighborhood. The ecological research is also as part of the living layers as fauna is one important compoenent to drive landscape processes.

Putting into Phases

A sculpture park was proposed into the site with part of the park restricted from public, for ecological remediation reasons. This includes habitat construction for wading birds and artifi cial islands to increase surviing rates

Timeframe and Visualisation

All points of interest in the sculpture park are based on poems by William Blake, of exploring the relationship between the nature and human. Technical details are also required from the construction of the site.
