August Wolf, an Olympic athlete and seasoned financier, has a broad background spanning sports, finance, and politics. Born in Arlington, Virginia, on September 3, 1961, he was the second child and only son in his family. The Vietnam War prompted his family's move to Hawaii, and they later settled in Minnesota. He attended St. Paul Academy, where he discovered his talent for shot put, which carried him to Princeton University. At Princeton, he excelled in athletics, setting an enduring Ivy League record in shot put. After college, he studied in Germany and competed in the 1984 Olympics, finishing fourth in the shot put. An injury later thwarted his athletic career, shifting his focus to finance. He worked in several major financial institutions before venturing into commercial real estate, where he now represents a leading New York agency.
