T here is a place...

where a welcoming spirit abounds, where children are challenged to be all they can be and where teachers show them how. There is a place where honor and integrity are cherished values, where kindness and politeness are everyday words, on the playground and on the playing field. There is a place where an environment of personal responsibility develops young adults who are prepared for college and beyond.

OR AUGUSTA PREP AUGUSTA PREPAR ARAT ATOR ORY Y DA DAY Y SCHOO SCHOOL L A Tr Tradition Excellence adition of Academic Excellence

Where learning... is exciting, active, and engaging! You see it in the Lower School. Our teachers develop hands-on activities that capture the imagination of young children by balancing spontaneity and creativity with skill and structure. You see it in student writing: clear and expressive. Marvel at their original works at a Lower School Authors’ Tea or at an Upper School Poetry Slam. Read a first grader’s journal, a sixth grader’s thoughtfully crafted character sketch or a senior’s college essay. As students develop, we encourage them to think critically, to analyze thoughtfully, and to communicate effectively.

Our students consistently score well above the national average on standardized tests. With small class sizes we get to know students personally, developing an atmosphere of encouragement, mutual trust, and respect.

Augusta Prep students

learn how to think, not what to think.

Where exprсsion... is a part of each school day. At Augusta Prep, you see it everywhere. Watch three-year-olds gathering just the right assortment of treasures for a nature collage. Observe lower school students exploring the elements of line, shape, color, and texture, creating works that are proudly displayed in the halls or selected for prestigious area exhibits. Listen as middle school students sight-read music and blend voices into melodies that lift our spirits. See it in the emerging self-confidence of a budding actor, mastering lines for a Middle School student production, or an Upper School student delivering Shakespeare’s words or Soundheim’s lyrics on a larger-than-life stage.

Visual and performing arts classes are offered at every grade level, culminating in Advanced Placement courses in the Upper School. Augusta Prep’s program emphasizes participation and process.

At Augusta Prep, we help children find their

artistic voice, and we give them the tools to outwardly exprсs it.

Where participation... in extracurricular activities is an integral part of the school experience and an opportunity afforded to all students. Knowing that physical education classes and team sports develop self-confidence, encourage accomplishment and instill good sportsmanship in young people, Augusta Prep offers daily classes in the Lower and Middle Schools and 22 Middle and Upper School sports teams. Participation in athletics also benefits students in the classroom, teaching them goal-setting, self-discipline, and time management skills. Through their shared experiences, close relationships develop both among teammates and between players and coaches.

The Boardman Athletic Center includes two gymnasiums, spacious locker rooms, a concession area, a fully-equipped weight room, an open and airy viewing area, an eight-lane synthetic surface track, and an athletic Hall of Fame.

Teamwork builds

lasting relationships between students and faculty.

T here is a place... where excellence, tradition, and diversity are interwoven to produce well-rounded, wellprepared students. There is a school where a multitude of family-centered activities fosters strong and enduring family, faculty, and school relationships. Augusta Prep is a school you should experience first-hand. Please contact the Admissions Office to schedule a visit to our campus. We are eager to answer your questions about joining the Prep community.

Come see how great a school can be!
