Dear Participant, There is much to look forward to with the return of springtime. Who doesn’t enjoy the increased daylight hours, steadily climbing temperatures and, one of my favorites, the return of perennial spring flowers? Long dormant under brown lawns, the flowers begin their slow climb. Spring is a time of movement. It’s only fitting to make our big move this spring as well. The Highline Recreation Office (also known as the Sports Office or the Recreation Registration Office), which has been located in the Credit Union building, 6 Abilene Street, is moving one mile east to city hall. At a yet to-be-determined date this spring, the Recreation Registration Office (along with Sports staff) will be moved to the Aurora Municipal Campus at 15151 E. Alameda Parkway. This move makes it more convenient for you, our patrons, to conduct critical city business – like registering for our programs – under one roof. The renovation of the new Recreation Registration Office space is underway and, as with all projects of this type, there are many moving parts. Stay tuned to the city’s website (www.auroragov.org) for the latest on this relocation. So remember: spring forward and drive one more mile east to city hall. I’ll see you there! In good health,
Tom Barrett, Director Parks, Recreation & Open Space (PROS) The Quality of Life Department
