AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT If you require special accommodations for participation in our recreation programs or use of our recreation facilities, please call 303-326-8410.

from the director Dear Participant, With the approach of the New Year we want to make it easier than ever for you to enjoy our programs and centers in order to meet your health and wellness needs. You might call it our New Year’s Resolution to help Aurorans commit to healthier lifestyles – only we don’t plan to break this resolution. In fact, quite the contrary. We are planning to revisit admission fees at facilities like the Aurora Center for Active Adults, Beck Recreation Center and Utah Indoor Pool. Keep current on these potential changes by following us on Facebook. In this wintry Recreation Guide you’ll find classes like yoga and tai chi that will bring a sense of balance during this hectic time of year; and our signature fitness classes like Barbell Blast and CardioStrength will no doubt challenge your current fitness level. We encourage you to make your own healthy resolutions and stay tuned for more on ours. We’re confident that between the two, you’ll have a new appreciation for how Aurora Parks, Recreation & Open Space fits your active lifestyle! In good health,

Tom Barrett, Director Parks, Recreation & Open Space (PROS) The Quality of Life Department

KEEP THE FUN IN SPORTS “Fun” is the overwhelming reason for playing sports & lack of fun is the leading cause of dropping out! Our goal is to get kids excited about participating for the pure enjoyment of playing & performing. If kids find their youth sports experience fun, they are more likely to continue playing well beyond their teenage years.
