ACAA DAY TRIPS
All our trips require moderate walking and a few stairs. Excursions with a next to the trip name usually include a walking tour of the venue or there will be a significant amount of walking required or stairs. Note the day trips marked with the indicate trips at high altitude over 8,000’. Please note that if participants plan on bringing a walker or wheelchair or need special handicapped accessibility seating or dietary considerations, they must notify the front desk when they register to ensure accommodations can be met. Please note indicates a payment/cancellation deadline and indicates menu prices are subject to change. Return trip times are approximate. Unless otherwise noted cancellation of excursions must be done at least five business days before departure date.

Pawnee Pioneer Trail Scenic Byway
Step back in time as we travel the Pawnee Pioneer Trail Scenic Byway. We start our journey from ACAA. The first stop is Fort Morgan Historical Museum/Library, then on to Sterling to the Overland Trail Museum where you will explore this location dedicated to the thousands of gold seekers and pioneers who ventured into the unknown seeking a new life. We will stay in Sterling for lunch at The Grill at River City. This family-owned restaurant offers a variety of eats including hand cut Esteaks, burgers, seafood and more. (Lunch is on your own) After lunch we will continue our adventure on the Pawnee Pioneer Trail. Please be sure to wear good walking shoes and bring a water bottle. Fee includes museum admission, escort and transportation.

Rosemount Mansion And Pueblo River Walk
(This excursion is not suitable for participants with walkers/wheelchairs).
The historical Rosemount Mansion is our destination for the day! Walking into Rosemount Museum is like stepping back in time to the elegant Victorian era. The property is known as the Crown Jewel of Colorado. Rosemount features an amazing 85 percent originality with the house virtually unchanged through three-quarters of a century while family members lived in the home. Nearly all furnishings, wall and window treatments, decorative arts, paintings and household items are original. The 37-room, 24,000 square-foot mansion is adorned with beautiful oak, cherry, mahogany and maple woodwork. After our tour we will head over to the famous Riverwalk where you will have time to explore, shop and dine to your heart’s content. Fee includes tour, escort and transportation.

BALLY’S CASINO IN BLACKHAWK
Hop on board a luxury motor coach as we travel up the hill to Bally’s Casino in Blackhawk. Extras to be received for our group include $10 in free play for each guest upon playing and upon earning 50 points a guest can receive a $15 food credit. Fee includes escort and transportation.

Riverside Cemetery Walking Tour
(This trip is not suitable for participants with walkers/wheelchairs).
This morning walking tour will introduce us to the famous residents of Denver’s oldest operating final resting place established in 1876. Notable historical people include John Bass, Clara Brown, John Evans, Barney Ford and Augusta Tabor. Learn the history of the property, the ‘residents’ and enjoy the morning walk. After our tour we will head over to TGI Friday’s at Northfield. Lunch is on your own. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle!

Top Golf In Centennial
Spend the morning hitting golf balls through the air and enjoy a tasty brunch buffet. At Top Golf we will take aim at the giant outfield targets and their high-tech golf balls will score themselves all from the comfort of our private bays! In addition, we will enjoy a delicious brunch of a Brisket Breakfast Taco Bar including slow smoked chopped brisket, scrambled eggs, house skillet potatoes, fresh seasonal fruit, assorted pastries, coffee, hot tea, orange juice and our personal Top Golf attendant to take care of our party needs. Mollie Kathleen Mine Tour And Cripple Creek
(This trip is not suitable for participants with walkers/wheelchairs).
The Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine is a historic vertical shaft mine near Cripple Creek, Colorado. The mine shaft descends 1,000 feet into the mountain, a depth roughly equal to the height of the Empire State Building in New York City. We will take a One hour-tour of the mine that starts with a two-minute ride down and back up the shaft and about ¼ mile of flat and level walking. We will see the evolution of underground mining, gold veins in their natural state, ride an underground tram air locomotive and experience the sights and sounds of mining equipment. (Be sure to bring a jacket as the mine temperature is 50 degrees F and wear comfortable walking shoes. Please note that the following are not allowed on the tour: large oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, crutches/ walkers, service animals, backpacks, large items, large purses and food/drink). After our tour, spend the rest of the day exploring Cripple Creek’s cafes, shops and of course casinos. Fee includes mine tour, escort and transportation.
