his year marks 60 years of Australian and Thailand diplomatic relations. In honour of this auspicious year it is appropriate that AustCham should host a very special event. Earlier in the year the AustCham board decided rather than have the usual business awards, to instead undertake the ambitious task of organising a business forum under the theme ‘Australia and Thailand in an integrated Asia’. With just a few days left before our conference on 12 and 13 November, there is still a chance to get a hold of tickets. The conference is to be held at the St Regis Hotel and will officially start on the evening of 12 November with a conference dinner with a key note speaker on the outlook for an integrated Asia. Much planning has gone into the forum with a very well thought out program with excellent speakers and for those who play golf, there is the option of playing a round on Monday at Thana City Golf Course.

Contributions to Advance magazine are welcome. Please submit content to domenica@austchamthailand.com by the first day of the month for publication in the following month’s magazine.

Conferences are significant events to plan and organise. They are also expensive to run. Fortunately we have been well supported by a number of our members who have offered generous sponsorship, which results in significant subsidy on the ticket price that members pay. Our sponsors are Baker Tilly Thailand, BlueScope Steel, The St Regis Hotel and our supporters; QBE Insurance, McConnell Dowell Creative Construction and Thana City Golf and Sports Club. That being said, I would urge all our members to support this event by attending all of the forum or at least part of it.

Opinions expressed in Advance do not necessarily reflect the views of the Chamber.

by Martin Kyle, who has been appointed as Conference Advisor. Those who been to our recent events may have also noticed a few other new faces amongst our staff. Domenica Agostino joins us in the role of Communications Manager taking over from Josh Hyland. Domenica is from North Queensland where she has spent the last seven years with the Townsville Brewing Company. Pisit Ujjin has also joined us in the role of Project Officer. Pisit has spent the last few years studying at the University of Tasmania. The chamber staff have been very active this year. One long overdue task that has been taken on has been a complete overhaul of our IT infrastructure. One of the results of this major project will be the launch of the new AustCham web site. The old web site had served us well to this point, however its underlying architecture has proved limiting. The new web site has been designed to overcome some of these deficiencies which largely relates to the handling of member data. The new web site will allow more persons from each member company to register. It will allow for easier online booking and payment of events. It will also allow for easier compilation of the annual hand book. Finally at the end of this month we will be holding Sundowners in Phuket at Hogs Breath Café, Patong on 30 November. I hope to see a few of you down there.

BUSINESS BRIEF

bangkok: a window to the world for australian restaurateur By Mark Carroll, AustCham Thailand

T

he call rings out from the table next to us: “Antonio! What sort of grappa should I have tonight?” Such is the relationship between restaurateur and his guests that it is only natural for Antonio Armenio to advise personally on every aspect of the meal. You see, dining at Antonio’s on Sukhumvit 31 is a unique experience. It is both fine-dining and family familiarity, with a special ingredient holding it all together. And that ingredient is ‘passion’. Passion is the core of Antonio’s the restaurant because Antonio the person is passionate about the 40 year-old fully restored villa where he hosts his guests, passionate about the ultra-high quality Australian ingredients that form the centrepiece of his dishes and, above all, passionate about his Australia-Italian heritage which has made it all possible. Take for example his signature dish of ‘Penne lamb shank’. The rich tomato sauce, perfectly al-dente pasta, and lusciously tender lamb form a hearty dish that is both intense in its depth of flavour, but delicate in its simplicity. But more than that, this dish tells the story of both a family, and a period of Australian history that permanently weaved multiculturalism into the fabric of the Australian nation. From 1950 – 1970 over 350,000 Italians immigrated to Australia, making Italy the second most common birthplace for settler arrivals in Australia after the United Kingdom and Ireland. Among them were Antonio’s parents who arrived in 1965, making the 30-day journey across the sea from Puglia in Southern Italy. As a child, Antonio recalls the curiosity of the local Adelaide butcher, asking what his mother did with the lamb shanks she purchased each and every week. This was a cut shunned by other cus-

6

tomers and typically discarded as leftovers. Antonio remembers also when his mother presented the butcher with a pot full of shanks, stewed for hours in her slowly-bubbling ruby-red tomato broth. He remembers how she watched with pride as the butcher and his colleagues devoured the lot. Could this have been the moment that Australia embraced the lamb shank as one of our national dishes? To hear Antonio speak of his ingredients is to hear him speak of the pride he has in Australia and its produce. Take, for example, the Tajima Wagyu tenderloin. This Australian variety (some might say improvement) of the famously marbled Kobe beef from Japan is the bestof-the-best. Reared under the strictest of conditions all cattle are fed a special grain formula for a minimum of 500 days. They remain entirely hormone and antibiotic free. To those in the top-end restaurant trade it was no surprise that in June this year the Tajima Wagyu was crowned Australia’s best steak in the nation’s most prestigious branded beef competition. Antonio raves also about the seafood he brings in from Sydney and Melbourne. Barramundi, he says, is “Australia’s national fish. We know the fish, how to raise it, how to cook it and how to present it in an absolutely beautiful way. Barramundi is also an aboriginal word, so there’s a strong link with the history of native Australians, which I think is great.” In Australia Butterfish is typically served battered at fish and chip shops. True to his heritage – and his style – Butterfish

is on the menu at Antonio’s, but in this case it is the best quality money can buy, perfectly pan seared with olive oil, and served with black olives, capers and a lemon butter sauce on the side. Australian wines feature heavily at Antonio’s, not really a surprise given his birthplace of Adelaide in South Australia is practically encircled by vineyards and top-quality wine producers. To the north is the world-famous Barossa Valley, which alone has over 80 wineries and is famous for Shiraz and Rieslings. “I’m not a fan of describing Australian wines as ‘new-world’”, says Antonio. “It suggests they are lesser quality, when the truth is our industry is very well established and producing some of the best wines in the world. It’s a shame we have to pay such a high premium to serve Australian wine in Thailand.” If Antonio has one complaint it’s that Australians aren’t more aware of the gastronomic beauty of Bangkok, or even what Australian businesses are achieving in Thailand. Bangkok, he says, “is one of the best dining destinations in the world. Not just Asia, but the world. I have people coming from all walks of life and from places like New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. They compare dining here with the top restaurants globally. They also compare the value – and quite often there is no comparison! We are very lucky here in Thailand.” “I wish Australians knew more about how businesses like mine are using Thailand as a base to showcase the best of Australia and Australian produce to Asia and the world. I wish they knew more about

the fabulous response we get from our customers – which are about 70 percent local Thais –when I tell them about the Australian-Italian heritage of my dishes. Australia can be proud of the reception we get in Asia, although it’s clear Australia hasn’t yet fully engaged Asia in a business sense.”

living here now for 15 years. Antonio’s restaurant was born in 2004 following a highly-successful fine-dining joint venture with his brother. It moved to its current location in 2009, after Antonio personally oversaw the conversion of an ageing inner-city house into a chic dining environment.

Reflecting on his journey from Australia to Thailand, Antonio credits much of his success to his upbringing. “I am proud to have had the best mix of both Australia and Italy. I was born, raised and educated in Australia. But I always enjoyed a strong Italian family environment that celebrated our heritage, particularly through our big social gatherings – which usually revolved around food. Making tomato sauce was an all-family project that began at 6am in the morning and lasted all-day.

Ultimately, for Antonio the restaurateur it is the Australian ingredients and the great response from his customers that keep his passion for the business strong.

“I think this is what promoted my interest in cuisine and Australian produce to begin at such an early age. When I was young I worked as an assistant in butcher’s shop where I learnt about the different cuts of beef. I also served at a local café and ended up being the manager.” Antonio first started doing business in Thailand in 1992 and, like many expatriates, fell in love with the place. He’s been

One need only consult TripAdvisor.com for evidence of Antonio’s success and the international clientele he draws. At the time of writing, the latest four customer reviewers were home-based in Cambodia, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Texas, USA. Their reviews were headlined “One of the best Italian restaurants in Southeast Aisa”, “A MUST if you like eating out in Bangkok”, “Excellent” and “First Class Experience”.

“The produce is perfect. We have fantastic guidelines and standards in Australia for producing, packaging and exporting. You know the product is going to land here Bangkok being nothing but the best. We also like supporting Australia, Australian product and Australian industry. But quality and consistency is the overwhelming reason for buying Australian. It is always top-notch. As an Australian I’m proud of that. There’s nothing more rewarding than a customer inviting me over to their table to talk about, and share, their dining experience. That’s when I know I’ve connected with them. That’s what Antonio’s is all about”.

australia become world’s 12th Largest economy By Simon Cullen

A

ustralia’s economy has overtaken Spain’s to become the 12th-largest in the world, according to the Australian Government’s analysis of new International Monetary Fund (IMF) data. Treasurer Wayne Swan has described the result as a “remarkable achievement” given Australia’s relative population size. “Since the Government came to office, Australia has moved up three places from 15th-largest economy to now be the 12th-largest economy in the world,” Mr Swan said. “Since 2007, Australia’s economy has surpassed the economies of South Korea, Mexico and now Spain. “These are three very different economies from three very different parts of the world, further highlighting the exceptional performance of our economy.” The comparisons are based on a country’s gross domestic product expressed in the current exchange rate for the US dollar. But it comes as the IMF cuts the growth outlook for the global economy and warns that while the recovery is continuing, it has weakened. It says the debt crisis in the eurozone remains the most obvious threat to the global outlook and unemployment is likely to remain “elevated” in many parts of the world. Despite the gloomy predictions, Mr Swan says the Government remains

on track to deliver a surplus this financial year. “The Australian economy remains the standout performer of the developed world, with solid growth, low unemployment, contained inflation, strong public finances and an enormous pipeline of investment in resources which

is boosting our economic capacity and export volumes,” Mr Swan said in a statement. The Treasurer is due to deliver a budget update before the end of the year, which is expected to include significant spending cuts given the continuing decline in company tax receipts.

BUSINESS BRIEF

a strategic focus on asean in 2012 By Ian Pascoe, Grant Thornton

G

rant Thornton recently released the report that looks at one of the fastest growing and most dynamic regions in the world – Southeast Asia – drawing on economic data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and business sentiment data from the quarterly survey of 3,000 businesses in 40 economies. It asked the views of leading businesses about their outlook across a whole range of issues that affect us all here in South East Asia; ASEAN, Business Confidence, Revenue and Profit, Employment, Investment, Inflation and Constraints. One of the most interesting findings came when asking businesses their views on the creation of the AEC as a single trading region. For those of us in Thailand who have watched preparations here for the AEC, it is perhaps unsurprising that Thailand’s businesses were considerably more ambivalent or even unsupportive than our ASEAN neighbours towards the creation of this single market. This is clearly unfortunate given Thailand’s economic strength in the ASEAN region could mean more opportunity, however only if we are better prepared. 2015 is not very far away. There is a pressing need for a clear road-map covering many major aspects including education for businesses about the AEC, foreign business ownership rules, immigration, governance and English-language education. Below are more findings from the survey: the asean economic Community (aeC) Business leaders in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam were asked for their views on the creation of the AEC, and which other countries and regions they would like their governments to develop closer trade links with. 60 per cent of business leaders in these countries are supportive of efforts to develop the AEC, with just seven per cent unsupportive. The greatest perceived benefit of the AEC is greater integration into the global economy (62 per cent). This is followed by the elimination

10

November 2012

of tariffs, streamlined customs clearance procedure (both 58 per cent) and easier movement of capital (56 per cent). Perhaps unsurprisingly given its location, businesses in the ASEAN region would like their governments to improve trade relations most with China (58 per cent). A further 26 per cent want better trade relations with India and 54 per cent mention other APAC economies. The United States (34 per cent) and Europe (33 per cent) also remain attractive for businesses in the region despite their slower growing economies. As noted above, Thailand’s businesses were substantially more ambivalent or unsupportive than any other ASEAN country surveyed. the asean economy In 2011, the combined economies of ASEAN accounted for 3.1 per cent of global output. The largest members are Indonesia, which accounts for 39 per cent of regional output, Thailand (16 per cent), Malaysia (13 per cent), Singapore (12 per cent) and the Philippines (10 per cent). Despite the slowdown in the global economy as a result of the continuing sovereign debt crisis in the eurozone, the region is expected to grow robustly in the medium-term. In the period 2012-16, these economies are expected to expand by 10 per cent per annum on average, double the rate of the global economy. This growth is expected to account for 6.5 per cent of total global growth over the next five years, increasing the share of global output of the ASEAN region to 3.9 per cent in 2016. Business confidence Business optimism slipped slightly in the ASEAN (Businesses in five ASEAN economies are interviewed in IBR: Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) region in Q2-2012,

falling from net 27 per cent to net 23 per cent. Globally, business confidence picked up slightly to net 23 per cent, up from net 19 per cent in Q1-2012 on the back of improvements in mainland China and the United States. Within the region there are some significant variations in business confidence. Businesses in the Philippines remain very optimistic about their economy over the next 12 months (90 per cent), behind only Peru. Businesses in Malaysia are much less confident (0 per cent), with Singapore (12 per cent), Thailand and Vietnam (both 8 per cent) also lower down. Revenue and profit Net 51 per cent of ASEAN businesses expect to see revenues rise over the next 12 months, very similar to the global average (net 52 per cent), but well below the APAC (ex.Japan) figure of net 70 per cent. Businesses in Vietnam are the most positive about seeing revenues rise (86 per cent), and those in the Philippines the least (44 per cent). Businesses in Singapore are not expecting huge rises in profits over the next 12 months. Just 19 per cent expect to see profitability increase, compared with 50 per cent in Thailand and the ASEAN average of 42 per cent. Businesses in Malaysia are the most positive about increasing exports (34 per cent). employment The proportion of businesses in the ASEAN region expanding their workforce climbed to net 40 per cent in Q2-2012, up from net 27 per cent three months previously. The largest rise was observed in Malaysia, where hiring climbed from net 20 per cent in Q1-2012 to net 50 per cent in Q2-2012, with Thailand very close behind. Prospects for jobs creation are also more positive in the ASEAN region than elsewhere. Globally, net 29 per cent of businesses plan to hire more workers over

the next 12 months, rising to net 31 per cent in APAC (ex.Japan) and net 35 per cent in ASEAN. In Thailand, net 42 per cent of businesses plan to expand their workforces in the coming months. investment Despite huge uncertainty in the global economy, the results suggest that ASEAN businesses are far from reluctant to invest in the future growth of their operations. Net 24 per cent expect to increase investment in new buildings over the next 12 months, and net 39 per cent are planning to increase investment in plant and machinery, both above the global average. A further net 28 per cent plan to increase R&D spend, although this is well below the APAC (ex Japan) figure of net 50 per cent. Within ASEAN, 34 per cent of businesses in Thailand are planning investment in R&D over the next 12 months, followed by Vietnam (32 per cent) and the Philippines (30 per cent).

Inflation Inflationary pressures look set to be slightly higher in the ASEAN region than globally over the next 12 months. Net 31 per cent of ASEAN businesses plan to increase selling prices, and a further 75 per cent plan to raise employee salaries at least in line with inflation. Businesses in Thailand (38 per cent) and Singapore (37 per cent) are planning the biggest price increases. Meanwhile, workers in the Philippines (80 per cent), Singapore (79 per cent) and Malaysia (78 per cent) are most likely to receive a pay rise over the next 12 months. Those in Vietnam (66 per cent) are least likely although this is only marginally below the global average (68 per cent).

APAC (ex.Japan) region (37 per cent), well above the global average (28 per cent). This lack of talent is a particular problem for businesses in Singapore (53 per cent), Malaysia and Vietnam (both 46 per cent). The cost of finance is also cited as a major growth constraint by ASEAN businesses (32 per cent), led by Vietnam (50 per cent). Globally, regulations and red tape emerges as the top growth constraint (34 per cent), but only Thailand in the ASEAN region comes in above this figure (40 per cent). In Vietnam, the slowdown in global trade is a particular concern – shortage of orders/reduced demand emerges as the top constraint (56 per cent).

Constraints A lack of skilled workers is the key constraint on growth for businesses in the ASEAN region, cited by 43 per cent of businesses. It is also cited as a major constraint by businesses in the wider

t’s been a big couple of months at the ATBC. We held a ‘Cracking Thai Fundamentals’ Business Bootcamp with StuJay Raj in Sydney with our members and have also been working with AustCham in preparation for the conference in November.

We are delighted to welcome HE Maris Sangiampongsa, Thai Ambassador to Australia and HE James Wise, Australian Ambassador to Thailand as Patrons of the ATBC. There have also been quite a few changes to our team, and we are farewelling colleagues and welcoming new faces. The ATBC 2012 AGM was held in Sydney on 18 September at Member offices of Kingsgate Consolidated Limited. We are pleased to announce the appointment of new Board Members: Christa Avery, Dr Kaye Eldridge, and Linsey Siede. These members have been active committee members in the past year, and we are delighted to welcome them. The AGM also saw Mr Graham Sherry stand down as Chairman. Graham was elected Chair of the Victorian Chapter of the ATBC and Vice-President National in 2005 and has been involved in hosting Executive Briefings, Business Briefings, Luncheons, Cocktails Parties and Dinners in Melbourne. The support of his firm, Baker & Mackenzie has also been highly appreciated. We wish Graham all the very best in his retirement. Due to changes in our secretariat hosting, Mr Colin Mackenzie will also step down from the position of Executive Director of the Council. The Board would like to extend great thanks to Colin for his four years of active service to the Council. Colin’s diplomatic background and knowledge of international issues has been greatly appreciated, and we do hope to keep in touch. We will also continue to engage and collaborate with the ACCI on strategic trade issues. The Board has been engaged in strategic planning for the future of the ATBC

E Mr James Wise, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, emphasised the role of Australian Government Scholarships in the future development and internationalisation of Thai students at a recent lecture on “Get Prepared for Internationalisation” at King Mongkut’s University of Technology (KMUTT). The lecture focused on the importance of internationalisation in the context of the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015. Over two hundred students, academics and university staff attended the talk. “Graduates of Thai universities in the future will increasingly need to be international in their outlook and experience, and be prepared to operate globally. Associate Professor Dr Bundit Fungtammasan, Vice President for research of King Mongkut’s University of Technology (KMUTT) presented a token of appreciation to HE Mr James Wise, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, at a special lecture titled ‘Get prepared for internationalisation’ held recently at KMUTT.

ASEAN, is to aid its students to prepare for this global environment”, Ambassador Wise stated. In order to bridge the language and cultural gap between Thailand and other ASEAN countries, Ambassador Wise suggested it would require Thais to learn ASEAN languages in addition to improving their English language skills. Ambassador Wise said study abroad is an excellent way of developing the international language, cross-cultural competencies and essential skills. Thai students can consider applying for an Australian Government scholarship (the Australia Awards) to support study or research in Australia. KMUTT has recently developed a strategy to raise staff and student awareness of the importance of university internationalisation for Thailand’s entry into the AEC in 2015. A number of highly respected Australian research universities have well-established links with KMUTT including the Queensland University of Technology, the University of Technology, Sydney and Macquarie University. The Australian Government scholarships for commencement in 2014 will open for application early next year (around February for Australia Leadership Awards and in April for Endeavour Awards).

austCham’s bluescope afL grand final Day AustCham’s annual Grand Final Day not only delivered another successful event in the true Aussie fashion of cold beer, meat pies and friendly rivalry but this year also gave us a game of drama and suspense. Has there ever been a gutsier win than Sydney’s 10 point triumph over Hawthorne, a tipped favourite? Needless to say a great day was had by our Australian community here and other interested nationalities that joined the revelry. Kicking off with breakfast and fine Aussies Sparkling, game day only got better with a charity raffle, prize give aways and that nail-biting win by Sydney! Some of the fantastic prizes given away on the day included sports memorabilia, spa treatments, luxury accommodation vouchers, and many many more including our major prize of 2 tickets to Australia generously donated by Singapore Airlines. A memorable day was had by all guests and our thanks and appreciation must once again go to AFL AustCham Director, Sam Mizzi for co-ordinating another enjoyable day as well as our event supporters for their contributions:

mi group goes robotic on Friday 12 October 2012 at Pattaya marriott

W

ith companies in Thailand increasingly searching for productivity and efficiency savings, AustCham’s Manufacturers and Infrastructure (MI) Group focused on ‘Process Automation Methodologies and Robotics’ at its most recent meeting on the Eastern Seaboard. Niclas Andersson, CEO of Future State (Asia), gave a detailed overview of the workings of robotics and process automation, and how they have evolved over time. He discussed the historical imperatives that have traditionally led companies to pursue automation, how manufacturers can achieve bottom line improvements through automating processes and how to gain the greatest return on automation investments. A first for AustCham (and perhaps for any Chamber), Niclas brought along with him to the meeting an impressive new robot that is designed to work side-by-side with its operators, rather than behind a safety cage. This vivid display of the flexibility of current robotic solutions drove home the message that sophisticated automation need not necessarily require high levels of capital investment to provide a signifi-

cant returns through cost reduction, and increased productivity, quality and workplace safety. AustCham’s MI Group provides a forum and a structure for business people involved in manufacturing, infrastructure and related heavy industry to discuss issues of mutual interest, share ideas, promote initiatives and learn from one

another. It has a heavy – but by no means exclusive – focus on businesses operating on Thailand’s Eastern Seaboard. For further information see the dedicated MI Group website at http://migroup.austchamthailand.com Many thanks to Mr Niclas Andersson for such an interesting presentation and demonstration.

FROM THE CHAMBER OFFICE

message from the executive Director

Calendar of events

O

weDnesDay 7 nOvember bangkok sundowners

ur AFL Grand Final event for 2012 was another highly successful celebration of a uniquely Australian sporting extravaganza. This year we put a greater emphasis on the family atmosphere of the event, taking advantage of the huge spaces at the Imperial Queens Park hotel to assemble a fantastic kid’s room. Clown Eckie was of course a centrepiece of the childrens’ entertainment. For the first time ever we also conducted a post-event survey of participants (where we had email addresses) via Survey Monkey. My intention is to conduct surveys following each major event so that we can better gauge our success and identify areas of improvement. From the feedback you clearly enjoyed the AFL again this year. You gave us a strong four out of five rating for the overall success of the event. I was particularly pleased to see that the highest satisfaction level was registered against “service on day by AustCham staff”. Value for money and family aspects of the event also rated strongly. You rated the Imperial Queens Park hotel highly on all measures, but its location stood out as something you particularly liked. You said we needed to try and improve the telecast quality (though much of this is out of our control). You also said we should try and jazz up the atmosphere and decorations in the room. The feedback from you on what makes a good AFL day gives pause for thought on what future events should look like. Quality of food is more important than quantity; and the need for an early 9am start for breakfast and drinks did not rank highly. Perhaps, therefore, we should have only one main brunch meal of higher quality rather than a full breakfast followed by a full lunch? You also said that the family aspects of the event are amongst the most important elements, so perhaps we need to incorporate more family-focussed activities? Not surprisingly, value-for-money ranked amongst the highest of your preferences. This is an area where you can help. The more sponsorship we can attract to an event like the AFL the more we can spend on making the event fantastic. And the more you support our sponsors – and show your appreciation to them – the more they are willing to sponsor us. So, please, for the sake of the AFL and all our major events get out there and show our sponsors that you appreciate their support! The other aspect of value-for-money is our free flow alcohol policy. Collectively you said this was less important than many of the other factors that comprise a great AFL Grand Final day. This suggests we might need to consider 30

November 2012

a more equitable distribution of the costs associated with drinks. The AustCham office had another excitement during October in the form of a total melt-down of our server. This put our @austchamthailand.com email off-air for a few days. Over the past year we have been steadily upgrading our information technology infrastructure, which was badly out-of-date. We have been moving many of our paper-based and otherwise ad-hoc processes to ‘the cloud’, using on-line tools to enhance our productivity and effectiveness. Survey Monkey is one example. Others are an on-line customer relationship management (CRM) system for tracking our interaction with potential new members; a cloud-based human resources management system that (among other things) automatically calculates leave balances; and a project management tool that helps ensure we don’t re-invent the wheel every time we do a major event and so that those involved (including volunteers) know what they are responsible for and when it needs to be delivered. Our server failure prompted the secondlast piece of the puzzle in our move to ‘virtualise’ the AustCham office. Our server is now hosted ‘in the cloud’ which gives us much greater ability to work remotely and via mobile devices. Basically we can now work anywhere, anytime as long as we have access to a computer or mobile device connected to the internet. [Please don’t tell the Board!] Our final (for the time being at least) big IT change will be introducing a new member management system and website. Our test platform is well advanced. I am convinced the new system wil provide us with an exponentially greater understanding of our membership group and a more advanced ability to serve them via the website. It will unlock a range of efficiencies in the AustCham office by automating and streamlining processes such as invoicing and member renewals, which will provide a better level of consistency. I hope to bring you more details on the new member management system over the next few weeks.
