…EVEN IN THE SUMMER!

The Doc & Gayle Young Food Drive hand-delivers 1,350 family food packs every Thanksgiving to families and seniors each fall, but we work to battle hunger during the summer months, too.

Food pantries are hit hardest in the summer months because children who receive assistance for breakfast and lunch during the school year are not getting those benefits during the summer. Each summer, the Food Drive makes financial donations on behalf of the Austin Apartment Association to local food pantries in 10 counties surrounding Travis County. This summer, Food Drive tri-chair

Terri Needham made three donations to food pantries in Llano, Fredericksburg and Blanco. Each food pantry serves around 300 clients a month and our donations will be used to purchase foodstuffs from the Capital Area Food Bank.Thanks to everyone who makes a donation in support of the Doc & Gayle Young Food Drive. Your generosity is felt by so many who need so much.
