Father Joe and Sister Maria have lived and worked in the slums of bangkok for nearly four decades. Father Joe first settled in Bangkok in 1972 where he served as a Parish Priest to a small catholic community in the claughterhouse neighborhood of Klong Toey. Together with Sister Maria – the Mother Superior of Daughters of the Queensship of mary Immaculate they founded the Human Development Foundation for their poor neighbours of all regions which now reaches thousands of the poorest of the poor every day.
