Previously director of Autism Treatment Trust, raising finance, critically evaluating the potential research and scrutinising government policies. Currently working in the public sector, planning and implementing through commissioning the Scottish autism strategy in two local authorities. Previous responsibilities established though charity work continue as a professional engagement. Extensive experience in autism, diagnosis, interventions, research and evaluation. Working UK-wide with professionals and families across multi-ethnic groups. Knowledgeable and experienced in tackling the challenges facing families and organisations. PhD in biological sciences from Oxford University and Master in Special Education Autism from Birmingham University.
