How the Potholes Damage the Different Parts of the BMW During the winter season, driving the car on the road can be an easy task. Suspension system The suspension of the BMW is generally designed for absorbing the tire impact and provide you a smooth and comfortable ride. When your car hits those potholes, it can cause serious suspension issues in your car such as the misaligned tires, worn out shocks or struts as well as damaged ball joints. When the suspension is misaligned or bent out, then inspect your BMW to a qualified mechanic immediately. Otherwise, you will find other issues in your car such as the car pulls in one direction, steering is misaligned, and the tires are worn out eventually. The broken ball joints of the car can cause unusual vibrations, poor performance, unusual steering and many more. The exhaust pipes are generally run along the undercarriage of the BMW. But when the deep potholes on the road scrape the undercarriage against the pavements, then it may either rip a hole in the muffler, exhaust system or the catalytic converter. Due to the issues in the exhaust system, your BMW will experience loss of power or unpleasant noises. As a result, your car will spew out the harmful pollution which is unchecked. When the exhaust fumes into the cabin can cause potential health issues. Apart from this, the potholes also scrape against the bumpers or side skirts of the tires.
