On F SPORT packages, an innovative new process tightly attaches the upholstery to the seat padding, creating a more balanced seat shape and eliminating upholstery slippage. The seat material no longer needs to be stretched as tight, resulting in added seat flexion, enhancing ride comfort.

In the All-New IS, several feature redesigns combine to provide crisper, more sure handling. Along with a more rigid suspension and body, count on Drive Mode Select to help maintain handling stability by controlling damping force in accordance with driving operations and road surface conditions.
The All-New IS features a 10% reduction in body weight and an increase in body rigidity. These accomplishments are due to a number of engineering and design homeruns, including underbody bracing, spot-welds, an innovative body adhesive, laser screw-welding, plus extensive use of aluminum and hot stamped high-tensile steel.

The IS 350 produces 306 hp with its potent 3.5 L V6 engine, while the IS 250 wrings 204 hp from its 2.5 L V6.9 Both come with direct injection technology and Dual Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence, a system that continuously monitors and adjusts the intake and exhaust valve timing for optimum thrust across the engine’s entire RPM range. 3. The redesigned rear suspension adopts a new critically-acclaimed multi-link system from the Lexus GS. Revised tuning of rear suspension has resulted in excellent response to steering inputs, and produced a 15% increase in rear tire cornering grip. As well, a complete brake system redesign provides quick response, smooth and linear effectiveness, and increased controllability.
The ongoing pursuit of higher performance has inevitably lead to a sport-tuning of the All-New IS suspension system. The double wishbone front suspension system has been impressively retooled, and it now offers a 20% increase in sway rigidity to provide excellent response to steering inputs.
