ANAKAO Anakao was born out of a 50-year tradition of jewellery making. Founder Vinay Soudakar grew up surrounded by jewels in his native Madagascar, where he learnt the trade in his Grandfather’s family business. In 2006, Vinay went into partnership with his brother in Madagascar and together they ran a successful jewellery store. His creations were received with great enthusiasm from customers who encouraged Vinay to set up his own jewellery brand, and it was this continued support that led to the launch of Anakao in 2015. Birmingham based designer Fei Liu was born in Chong Qin, China. While visiting Hong Kong at the age of 19, Liu became transfixed by gemstones and how no two stones are ever the same. This formative experience led him to study at the world renowned Birmingham School of Jewellery.
