AUVSI EVENTS

Where the world of

unmanned systems AUVSI events bring together the key stakeholders in the unmanned systems and robotics community. AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems Program Review: Held at the beginning of the year this event provides the most up-to-date overviews and information on government and industry programs for air, ground and maritime systems. Presentations are made by top officials from military and government agencies. The attendees of this event find it to be one of the best networking opportunities of the year. AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems North America Symposium and Exhibition: The only show to bring together the entire unmanned systems and robotics community in one place at one time. Unmatched by any other show worldwide, this is the largest international event for the unmanned systems market. Annual growth has led to record breaking attendance and expanding exhibit halls to accommodate more than 400 exhibitors year-after-year and with nearly 200 technical presentations this event continues to prove its worth as the best networking and educational event of the year.

Student Competitions: The AUVSI Foundation sponsors five different competitions for students with activities related to air, ground and maritime systems. The competitions introduce new generations of engineers, scientists and operators to the field of unmanned systems and create a pipeline for employers seeking the future ideas and leaders of the industry. Worldwide Networking: AUVSI hosts educational and networking events throughout Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Visit www.auvsi.org/events to find the next AUVSI event near you.

ADVOCACY

KNOWLEDGE RESOURCES

AUVSI has become the leading global organization representing the views of the unmanned systems and robotics community to legislators and regulators.

AUVSI is the thought leader for the unmanned systems and robotics industry. The association’s knowledge resources department is constantly evolving to meet the needs of AUVSI’s membership and the industry through the following initiatives:

The association is involved with efforts to increase access and safely integrate unmanned aircraft into public airspace, create standards for all types of unmanned systems and robotics, address restrictive export control policies, expedite license approvals for unmanned systems technologies and establish affiliate organizations that will engage legislators and regulators at the local and national level on behalf of unmanned systems proponents. AUVSI is committed to working with its members to shape global policy by advocating on behalf of the unmanned systems and robotics community, monitoring legislation and assessing the global impact of the industry to ensure that obstacles to advancement and fielding of unmanned systems and robotics are removed.

Knowledge Collection: Database development, market research, statistics collection and analysis. Knowledge Creation: Table top exercises, members-only demonstrations and technology transfer, case studies and roadmaps for integrating unmanned systems and robotics into specific environments. Knowledge Sharing: Produce research reports for AUVSI members only.

AUVSI’s members represent more than 55 allied countries. To encourage continued global growth AUVSI supports Regions and local Chapters. Regions are created by industry, government and academia to promote the growing field of unmanned systems and robotics. AUVS-Australia was established in 2007 as the leading voice for Australia’s burgeoning unmanned systems community. AUVSI also has an affiliation with Unmanned Systems Canada to provide our Canadian members with additional exposure and networking opportunities in Canada.

Chapters are created by active AUVSI members seeking to build close-knit networks and promote unmanned systems and robotics in local communities through educational opportunities, social events and grassroots advocacy. Since each Chapter is unique and tailored to the needs of its members, Chapter activities vary but can include luncheons, exhibitions, forums and student competitions.

AUVSI members can easily join a local Chapter by updating their profile at www.auvsi.org For a current list of AUVSI Chapters and to learn about your local Chapter’s activities, go to www.auvsi.org/Chapters
