AVA FOUNDATION UPDATE: APPLY FOR AVASM22 SCHOLARSHIPS NOW!

AVASM22 SCHOLARSHIPS

The AVA Foundation Board of Directors recently approved accepting applications for the AVA Annual Scientific Meeting Scholarship (AVASM). The scholarship pays for one full registration to the meeting, which promotes clinician hands-on learning, continuing education and improved clinical outcomes and patient safety. To apply for a AVASM22 scholarship, please submit your Resume/Curriculum Vitae, letters of recommendation (minimum of 2 required), and completed application form below. Incomplete applications will automatically be ineligible for further review or consideration. Applications are being accepted until July 22. AVASM22 is Sept. 30-Oct. 3 in Minneapolis, MN. Approved applicates will be notified by July 28.

NEW STRATEGIC PLAN

✓ The AVA Foundation Board approved the

Foundation’s new logo and color scheme. ✓ The AVA Foundation Board is continuing its work to update its strategic plan. Approval is planned for October 2022. Pillars of the strategic plan include:

• Promotion of Clinical Scholarships: Enhance education and support the vascular access specialty and its education programs. • Developing a Research Program: Promote understanding of the research process through journal assessment of current vascular access studies. The Foundation plans to partner with AVA, AVATAR, JAVA and others.

• Collaboration: Enhance collaboration with

AVA at AVASM and other fundraising and awareness opportunities • Improve Fundraising: Increase major donations by providing industry partners, grant makers and others robust opportunities for funding research and scholarships.
