Live Well in 2021

1. Take a little more time for yourself - Wake up an hour earlier than you normally do. Everyone has that one thing that helps them reset and see a little clearer. Take this new time in the morning to do that thing each day. Life can get overwhelming, so make sure to check in with yourself!

2. Read at least one book a month. Reading not only clears your mind of all the everyday tasks, but it helps you learn. By reading at least one book a month, you will become more focused and knowledgeable on a variety of topics.

3. Get more involved with your community. Now is the time to do that thing you have always wanted to that is right in your community. Whether it is volunteering, joining a club or attending an event there is plenty of community fun to get in on!

4. Find a hobby you enjoy – indulge in that instead of being on your phone. It is easy to get bogged down by life and work, make it a point this year to find something that you are interested in and enjoy doing. You do not have to be the best at it, you just have to enjoy doing it! Try leaving your phone in the other room.

5. Take a class. No matter the type of class you choose, make sure it has relation to what you want to learn. This class could be an exercise class, a yoga class, a nutrition class, a design class, a financial class, the options are endless. Choose one and go forward with it!

6. Reset your financial goals for the new year. Make a spreadsheet, organize your spending, do what you personally need to do to become more financially stable this year. Saving $100/week for all of 2021 will add up to $5,200 – make your own goal and stick with it!

7. Make a time for exercise and monitor what you eat. This can be easy to lose track of when you are so busy, but it is one of the most important things to make time for. Exercising can clear your mind and make your body feel so much better. You do not have to do it every single day but make it an effort to be consistent. Eating better is another thing that will change your life. It will make you feel better, give you more energy to take on the day and help you achieve any body goals you set for yourself. Everyone wants to feel good in their own skin!

8. Get the correct amount of sleep your body needs. If this means going to bed earlier, make it a point to do that. With the right amount of sleep, your body will be more willing to perform all the tasks throughout your day without feeling lethargic.

9. Go for a walk or bike ride outside. Living in Florida, this is the easiest way to grab a breath of fresh air. Soak up the sunshine and head outside!
