Avalon Elementary School 5th Grade Trip!

Avalon Pioneers - Best Trip Ever Day 1 in DC is in the books. Our 5th graders visited so many sites including the National World War II Memorial, the National Museum of African American History, Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Vietnam War Veterans’ Memorial, Korean War Veterans’ Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial.

Avalon Pioneers - Best Trip Ever Day 3 in Pennsylvania. Our 5th grade Mariners visited Gettysburg National Military Park, the Jennie Wade House, and enjoyed a night tour through the historic town of Gettysburg.

Avalon Pioneers - Best Trip Ever Day 2 in Virginia. Our 5th grade Mariners enjoyed tours of Mount Vernon and Arlington National Cemetery. They ended the day with dinner and games at Dave ‘n Buster’s.

Avalon Pioneers - Best Trip Ever Day 4 back in DC. Our 5th grade Mariners visited the U.S. Supreme Court, Smithsonian museums, and the U.S. Capitol. On the Capitol steps, they met U.S. Representative Maxwell Alejandro Frost who represents Florida’s 10th Congressional District. Representative Frost shared an inspiring message with our future leaders.
