Hey Division 1N Key Clubbers! I hope you have had a great start to your summer! I know I have—attending International Convention in Indianapolis has definitely been the highlight of my break. It’s hard to believe that summer is almost halfway over and we’ll soon start seeing back-toschool ads everywhere. In this newsletter, and future ones, you’ll find a new section called Spotlight of the Month. Each month a different club will be featured based on their service projects and accomplishments of that month. If you wish to be highlighted, send me any pictures that you take throughout the month. Officers, remember to spend your summer learning about your duties and planning ahead so when school comes, you’ll be prepared to handle it. I encourage you to have many board meetings, so you can develop a closer relationship with your fellow officers, as they will become lifelines throughout the year.
These past three months have flown by but I am so grateful and lucky to work with each and every one of you. I am proud of all of our division’s accomplishments and know we’ll do great in the year to come! Yours in Service,
Spotlight of the Month
Trimble Tech HS: The newest club in our division, Trimble Tech, is off to a great start! On the last day of school, June 8, they held an afterschool social to celebrate their recent chartering, complete with pizza and the first ever ringing of their bell. Later that week, on June 13th, a few members and officers volunteered at the Foam Glow Run. Three of them, and myself, handed out water to runners (it sounds like an easy job but the runners never stopped coming) and another two helped with the start line and spraying people with foam.
International
Convention
The 2015 Key Club International Convention was indescribable. 17 Key Clubbers from across the T-O district traveled across the country to celebrate the 100th birthday of Kiwanis and 90th birthday of Key Club with thousands of other people from the K-Family. While there, we voted for next year’s International Board, had pancakes at Monument Circle, watched the Indianapolis Indians blow their competition out of the water at a baseball game, voted on amendments, traded pins, attended a Hellogoodbye concert, and so much more. It was an experience that I will never forget, as it showed me the true scope of Key Club International. I hope to see you next year in Atlanta!
COCI What is C.O.C.I.? The COCI, or Club Officer Contact Information, allows TO clubs to submit their officer, faculty, and sponsoring Kiwanis information. All clubs need to update the COCI after elections of new officers are held. This helps both myself and District Board communicate with you throughout the year.
Troubles? If you do not know your password, email District Administrator Walt Roetter at : administrator@tokeyclub.com If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me!
