Stammtisch oval top * Design by Alfredo Häberli, quote:

"The idea was to design a social, warm yet visually lightweight table. The smooth shape invites a large number of people to take a place. Deliberately a bar was created in longitudinal direction just above the floor, which serves to place the feet on. The result is a posture that was previously seen on many restaurant tables: a relaxed, légère attitude that comes up when a certain amount of coziness is available. The type of construction (sheet metal and wood) has drawn its inspiration from the modern details of the carpentry crafts; the console and joist hangers made of plain steel have their sophisticated rebirth. Different colors of the metal parts provide the table with different characters. Rectangular Stammtisch * Design by Alfredo H채berli

Alfredo H채berli was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Today, he is an internationally established designer based in Z체rich. He manages to unite tradition with innovation, joy and energy in his designs. The Stammtisch is inspired by the table for the regular visitor in a cafe. Alfredo H채berli translated this idea for the home and project market. The edges are not simply vertical, but their angle seems to move outwards at both ends, while moving slightly inwards at the sides. The Stammtisch (= regulars' table) comes in various different models and sizes and is available with oval, rectangular and round table tops. For projects, table top materials and frame colours can be executed in line with requests. * Winner of Interior Innovation Award, German Design Council 2013 Quodes T 0031 (0)23 533 7 533 F 0031 (0)23 5406 222 info@quodes.com www.quodes.com

Round Stammtisch Design by Alfredo H채berli

Like the other Stammtisch tables, there is a subtle detail to the edge of the table top: the edges are not simply vertical, but their angles move outwards at both ends, while moving slightly inwards at the sides. This shape detail changes so naturally that you only notice it at second glance. As a result, although the table top is perfectly round, the top appears to be slightly oval - due to the changing table edge. The round Stammtisch has a chassis of striking engineering. The light wood and laser cut sheet steel feel sophisticated and familiar at the same time. The wooden legs are connected to the metal frame like a handgrip to a knife. Quoting this Swiss symbol par excellence - the army knife - lends the table a recognizable and playful appearance.

Satellite

Design by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby Quote by the designers: An exercise in graphic composition and organised volumes. It is about proportion, modularity and purity with character. We see an array of objects, some coloured, resting on trestle bases - a series of ideograms. This informal character implies variation, movement and adaptability. The temporary made temporally permanent. Time and space, balance and expression. Edward Barber, Jay Osgerby

Collar

Design by Nendo Nendo is a Tokyo and Milan based design studio, founded by Oki Sato. Nendo concentrates on tranquil products and technically advanced research. The modular Collar cabinets are inspired by the collar of a shirt, which playfully echoes in the decorative metal fronts. These MDF / metal containers function as individual chest of drawers / side board or bookcases, but can be combined, forming attractive configurations for storing books etc. The subtle colour schemes and the vividly alternated forms express Nendo’s typical serene atmosphere.

Compositions Collar is based on the building block principle. On this page several ideas for compositions. Design constraints: it is not possible to place a chest of drawers directly next to the ‘hinge side’ of a cabinet with doors (doors need more space on this side to open, due to the shape of the front panels). Chest of drawers: wall attachment is recommended to avoid falling over when several drawers are opened simultaneously.

Some of the colours in the Quodes Colour Plan are handpicked by the designers of Satellite, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, because we asked them not only to design cabinets but also their favourite colours for their design. These colours are: 1. If the cabinet is chosen entirely in one colour, then the following choices:

Ral 9016 Traffic white

NCS S 3005-B80G Light cool grey

Ral 7023 Concrete grey

Ral 6034 Pastel turquoise

Ral 5020 Ocean blue

Ral 5008 Grey blue

Ral 2002 Vermilion

NCS S 8010-R10B Aubergine

2. Or very colourful combinations, ranging from very subtle to much more expressive, but always with the emphasis on timelessness. The application of those colour combinations on several models is shown on the following pages:
