I am Scott Kadrlik, CPA/PFS. I am taking over as Chair of the Chamber for 2013 following the excellent job of Eric Iverson. His hard work and dedication to the Chamber is an inspiration to me for the New Year. I welcome the opportunity to serve and meet every one of you over the next year. If you are reading this newsletter it means that the Mayan calendar was wrong and the world did not end. We have teetered at the Fiscal Cliff and the world did not end. And if the Vikings win the Super Bowl it does not mean that hell will freeze over.

The point is that the world moves on and we will all have an opportunity to move with it. A New Year brings with it the opportunity for a clean start, a fresh look and hope for change.

So here is my 2013 New Year’s Wish for you. May you get a clean bill of health from your dentist, your cardiologist, your gastroenterologist, your urologist, your proctologist, your podiatrist, your psychiatrist, your plumber and the I.R.S. May your hair, your teeth, your face-lift, your abs and your stocks not fall; and may your blood pressure, your triglycerides, your cholesterol, your white blood count and your mortgage interest not rise. May your check book and your budget balance and include generous amounts for charity. May you remember to say "I love you" at least once a day to your spouse, your child, your parent, your siblings and your accountant; but not to your secretary, your nurse, your masseuse, your hairdresser or your tennis instructor.
I am wishing you a Prosperous and Funny New Year!
