It is designed to be sweat resistant for people who workout often and also firms and tightens the skin. An easy and affordable contour palette that works amazing is the ELF contour cream palette. It’s 8 bucks and you can pick it up at Ulta or Target. 19 YEAR OLD ZACH DISHINGER GREW UP IN THEATER, AS THE STAGE WAS HIS SECOND HOME. AS DISHINGER GOT OLDER, HIS LOVE FOR ACTING SOON TURNED INTO A PASSION FOR MAKEUP. ZACH FELT A SURGE OF CONFIDENCE WHEN GETTING READY FOR A SHOW. WITH EACH SWIPE OF HIS MASCARA WAND, HE FELT MORE RADIANT, SELF-ASSURED AND ALIVE. ZACH SOON REALIZED WHAT HE LOVED MOST ABOUT THE THEATER WAS THE ART OF TRANSFORMATION. I started in my kitchen, mixing bronzer with lipstick to create the perfect shades and textures. When I started, there were no beauty boys no Manny, James, etc. I wanted to change that. But it was also important to me to get it right. So, through my friends in theater who had experience in the beauty industry, I learned the importance of finding a great lab partner and chemists who had the same standards as me. I work on every aspect, from the design, formulation, packaging, photography, etc. WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO CREATE YOUR OWN BUSINESS?
Any great brand gives people permission to be themselves. I believe I am part of a cultural revolution spearheaded by young people who believe in fighting for what’s right. I’m using my voice and company to inspire others to stay true to who they are, step out of their comfort zone, and to be unconditionally accepting. BEING A CEO AND INFLUENCER MUST KEEP YOU PRETTY BUSY! WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE FOR YOU?
I usually wake up pretty early, have my morning caffeine, and get straight to answering any emails! During the day I try to balance creating content with zoom meetings etc. Balance is so important, especially when wearing so many hats! HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR VOICE?
It hasn’t been easy. In fact, it was so bad that I had to switch schools because I needed an environment of acceptance and to be in a place that would allow me to grow. But I feel really lucky - I was born to a supportive family which I know not everyone is. Because of my experience, I feel an obligation to help others. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST FOR FORMULA Z COSMETICS THIS YEAR?
What’s so exciting about the future for me is that beauty can be a force for good. I want to grow Formula Z across different categories as well as making our products more accessible. As someone in the LGBTQ community, I have a platform to be a change agent and speak for those who can’t, specifically for other LGBTQ and disenfranchised youth and the world. One of my favorite tricks is using a contour palette for shading the face, eyes, as well as filling in the brows a little. While a lot of people might prefer using their fingers, brushes are an extremely important part of any makeup kit. Brushes make it easier for you to apply makeup and ensure an even spread. I don’t use my fingers on myself or clients to eliminate the risk of bacteria spreading. Sponges can also absorb a lot of makeup.
