The gov ernment of the de f acto state of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, known locally as the Artsakh Republic, which has broken away f rom Azerbaijan, is planning to launch serv ices with its own airline. Artsakh Air, also ref erred to as Artsakhav ia, will be the sole operator of f lights f rom Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia. Armenian President Serzh Sargsy an on March 31 declared that he will be the f irst passenger to board a planned f light f rom Y erev an to Stepanakert, capital of breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh.

UTair to purchase 20 new ATR aircraft UTair Av iationhas concluded a contract with ATR f or the deliv ery of 20 new ATR 75-500 regional turboprop aircraf t. UTair Av iation General Director Andrey Martirosov and ATR Consortium Executiv e Director Filippo Bangniato signed the contract in the presence of numerous guests and of f icials on April 7th in Kiev .

According to Chief operating of f icer of Domolev o airport Denis Nuzdin, Priv ate f unds with amount of $2.5 billion are planned to be inv ested in the dev elopment of Domodedovo airport till the y ear of 2020. It is estimated that up to 60 million passenger traf f ic increase a y ear is expected, and the construction of third runway is planned in the network of Domodedov o airport dev elopment.

Armavia finally receives first Sukhoi Superjet The deliv ery of the f irst serially -produced Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jet was taken by the launch customer Armenian f lag-carrier Armav ia. The f irst serially produced Sukhoi Superjet 100 was f lown in April 15 f rom Zhukov sky near Moscow, v ia Nov osibirsk to Komsomolsk-on-Amur f or f inal acceptance testing. The aircraf t was piloted by test pilots Chikunov , Kochetkov , and Pripuskov to the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraf t Production Association (KnAAPO) where the assembly line f or the Sukhoi Superjet is located.
