BOEING PROMOTES NEW APPROACH FOR FUTURE AVIATION TRAINING Bangkok - Boeing today called upon the av iation industry f or a rev ised approach to training that includes the use of online and mobile dev ices to meet the demand f or av iation personnel ov er the next 20 y ears. Speaking at the Asia Pacif ic Airline Training Sy mposium in Bangkok, Roei Ganzarski, chief customer of f icer, Boeing Flight Serv ices, said the industry must f ocus on adopting newer methods of instruction that hav e prov en successf ul in other f ields.

Transaero signs an agreement with Abacus in order to improve its presence in Central Asia Transaero, the second Russian largest carrier, and Abacus International, the Asia’s leading company in the area of prov iding the comprehensiv e solutions to the airlines f or maximizing prof it, hav e signed a commercial agreement, the airline reports. In accordance with the agreement, the companies start cooperation aimed at increasing the scope of booking on Transaero f lights in Central Asia due to usage of ef f icient distribution sy stem prov ided by Abacus. It will help Transaero increase its presence in the region, share on this market and sales through the wide network of Abacus.

Baltic Aviation Academy launched Airbus A320 full flight simulator in Vilnius On September 16th, 2011, Baltic Av iation Academy (BAA), a Ty pe Rating Training Organization, launched Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator in the av iation centre premises in Vilnius. It is the f irst Airbus A320 f ull f light simulator in the Baltic States. IrAero will acquire 10 MS-21s An agreement on deliv ery of 10 MS-21 aircraf t with 180 seats to IrAero has been signed during the 7th Baikal Economic Forum (BEF), the airline’s press-serv ice reports.

BA increases Moscow capacity w ith longhaul aircraft Customers on British Airway s’ London Heathrow to Moscow serv ice will be able to sample the airline’s award-winning serv ices in First and Club World business class f rom next y ear. The changes were announced during a UK trade delegation to Russia hosted by Prime Minister, Dav id Cameron, along side sev eral major British business leaders. From April 2012, this route will change f rom a short-haul serv ice operated with two cabins to a long-haul operation of f ering customers up to f our classes of trav el. BA will operate a f our-class B747 jumbo on one of its three daily f lights between London and Moscow. Airlines worldwide Transaero’s passenger turnov er has increased by 28.5% during the eight months of 2011

Sir Martin Broughton, chairman of British Airway s, who accompanied Dav id Cameron to Moscow to represent British business, said: “We are proud to hav e been f ly ing to Russia f orov er f if ty y ears. It is an important and growing market f or us and we want to ref lect our commitment to the region and our customers by enhancing our serv ices and increasing the number of seats that are av ailable to Moscow.” The carrier currently uses a mixture of two-class B767 and A320 aircraf t on the f our-hour route, f itted with BA’s Euro Trav eller and Club Europe product. But f rom next April the carrier will introduce one of its f ourclass B747 jumbo aircraf t on to the route, of f ering increased capacity and more comf ortable World Trav eller, World Trav eller Plus, Club World and First seating. British Airway s has close ties with leading Russian airline, S7. The two airlines are members of the one world alliance and launched a code-share agreement earlier this y ear, which means that customers can experience a seamless serv ice between the UK and many destinations in Russia, transf erring at Domodedov o airport. Both airlines’ customers benef it f rom competitiv e through f ares, co-ordinated schedules and excellent customer serv ice. It is hoped that the codeshare agreement will be expanded in the coming months so that ev en more parts of Russia will be linked by air serv ices to the UK.
