BOEING FORECASTS $200 BN MARKET FOR 1,250 NEW AIRPLANES IN NORTHEAST ASIA Boeing is expecting to deliver 1,250 new airplanes Northeast Asian carriers valued at approximately US $200 billion over the next 20 years. According to Randy Tinseth, Boeing Commercial Airplanes Vice President of Marketing this forecast is basically based on the „combined effect of liberalization and rapid economic grow th is driving passenger traffic in the region“. “In Korea, Incheon International Airport serves as a major hub in the region and the Korean peninsula is perfectly situated betw een Japan and China – allow ing it to continue as a gatew ay to key markets in Asia.”

UTair plans to start acquisition of Boeing 767 in 2012 UTair Aviation plans to start acquisition of Boeing 767 w ide-body aircraft since 2012. It has been reported by CEO of the airline, Andrey Martirosov. The total airline’s demand for these jets is about 10 ones, he underlined. Read more >
Empire plans to double business jet fleet with two years Empire Aviation Group, the Dubai-based business aviation charter and management company is expecting to double the size of its fleet in the next 18-25 months. CAE and Bom bardier to Expand Business Aviation Training Netw ork The continuing expansio of training support for business aircraft customers w ith the addition of a Level D full-flight simulator (FFS) for Challenger 300 aircraft training w as announced by Bombardier and CAE. It is expected that new ly added CAE-built simulator w ill be located at Bombardier’s training centre in Montreal, Canada, and w ill be deployed in the second half of 2012. 1/5

Airbus delivers China Southern Airlines’ first A380 Airbus celebrated delivery of the first A380 for China Southern Airlines, w hich is the first Chinese operator to receive this 21st century flagship jetliner. The first of five aircraft ordered w as handed over durig the celebration ceremony at the Airbus Delivery Centre in Toulouse, France. British Airways offers luxury air service It expected that British Airw ays w ill soon start luxurious new first class flights on several major global routes. The carrier is moving further on the new premium products development currently finalising installations on its fleet of Boeing 747-400s w hich is expected to operate to Moscow , Singapore and all Australian destinations from AprilMay 2012. Spain’s Iberia to start new budget airline The board of Spanish airline Iberia w ho is ow ned by International Airlines Group (IAG) is planning to establish a low cost airline for the company’s short and medium distance services to help improve the carrier’s profitability. Georgian Airways acquires right to fly to Russia by late 2011 Aviation authorities of the Russian Federation and Georgia gave the permission to Georgian carrier Georgian Airw ays to continue direct charter flights betw een Moscow and Tbilisi for three more months – by late 2011. Russian Siberia Airlines (S7 Airlines) also aquired the same permission.
This deployment w ill significantly boost OEM-backed Challenger 300 aircraft pilot training, currently offered at Bombardier’s training centre in Dallas, Texas, w here the company operates an existing FFSfor Challenger 300 aircraft. According to Eric Martel, President, Bombardier Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft “Bombardier is committed to proactively increasing the number of training opportunities available to its business aircraft customers and ensuring they have access to services in locations that are convenient to their base of operations.“ “Training is all about safety and operational efficiency,” said Jeff Roberts, Group President, Civil Simulation Products, Training and Services, CAE. “Our close relationship enables Bombardier and CAE to continuously improve the value of training for aviation professionals w herever they operate.” A few months ago CAE announced that it has sold four Level D full-flight simulators (FFS) to customers in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Australia. The four FFSs include: an Airbus A380 to Thai Airw ays International, an Airbus A330 to Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA), an Airbus A320 to Russian aviation equipment company NITA (New Information Technologies in Aviation) on behalf of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, and an Embraer Phenom 100 to CAE Global Academy Perth, a joint venture flight school w ith China Southern Airlines located in Australia. CAE also signed contracts w ith various customers for updates of CAEbuilt simulators. The contracts are w orth a total of more than C$70 million at list prices, and bring the total number of FFS sales that CAE has announced to date during fiscal year 2012 to 15.

Nordic Aviation Capital signs contract for 10 ATR 72-600s and 2 ATR 72-500s NAC consolidates itself as the w orldw ide largest lessor of ATRs, w ith a fleet of more than 100 aircraft. 21 Nations Sign Declaration Opposing ETS Leaders from European airlines and other industry stakeholders are meeting in London to discuss a range of issues, including how best to convince the European Union to back off from its plan to extend the EU’s emissions trading system (ETS) to airlines in January.
