BOMBARDIER’S CSERIES AIRCRAFT COMPLETES HISTORIC FIRST FLIGHT Under perfect w eather conditions, Bombardier Aerospace celebrated the successful first flight of its CSeries aircraft today, a major milestone in the company’s highly anticipated development program that w ill provide operators w ith an all-new family of aircraft specifically designed for the 100- to 149-seat market segment. The maiden flight marks the start of the CSeries aircraft’s flight test program leading up to the first customer delivery, and w as also the first flight for Pratt & Whitney’s new Geared Turbofan™ PurePow er engine as part of an aircraft certification program. The Company forecasts that a total of 805 executive jets w ill be in demand the Chinese market over the next decade. With support from its new investors, Flexjet is placing the largest private aviation order in its history valued at approximately $5.2 billion for up to 245 Bombardier business jets.
