Heavy Refurbishment on Bombardier Challenger 604 — Fully Customized Business Jet Interior – To Make It Feel Like Home. When Carsten Matthiesen visited the owner of this Challenger 604 in Estonia to discuss the interior refurbishment of the aircraft, one thing quickly became clear: This was going to be a particularly individual project.
Use-case: Private use & Charter Operation Sales Lead: AeroVisto in cooperation with R & R Aviation Consulting Interior design: AeroVisto together with the Aircraft Owner Design highlights: Fabric Upholstery of Club Seating Area MRO Cooperation: ACC Columbia Jet Service Scope highlights: Fully Customized Leather; Fabric Upholstery; Handtuft Carpet Selection MRO Cooperation: ACC Columbia Jet Service Technology highlights: Change of Seat Shape and Stahl Stay Clean Lifetime+ Leather
You could immediately feel that this aircraft is a place where the owner spends a lot of time – a very personal place. We definitely wanted to keep it that way, so when preparing the design we paid special attention to our client’s wishes, ideas and needs. The very pleasant and intensive conversation with the owner, the sample selection and design consultation was done directly on the aircraft. This is definitely the best approach, which we always recommend when preparing refurbishment projects. And even though we didn’t take our mobile showroom with us to Estonia this time, we had everything with us that could give the customer the certainty of having made the right choice. For the final selection the owner came to AeroVisto`s state-of-the-art interior manufactory in Switzerland. AeroVisto`s production teamleader Andreas Herdt led this final interior selection actitvely while speaking towards the owner in perfect Russian language. As a fact our international team is able to communicate in more than 15 languages fluently. WWW.AVIATIONHEAVEN.COM
AHGUIDE To ensure that we were able to implement the client’s wishes down to the last detail, we created several renderings so that the owner could see in advance how the handtufted carpet would harmonize with the newly designed seats and surfaces. In such a personal environment, quality plays a very important role. The high value must be reflected in the look and feel and be recognizable at first glance. For this purpose, wooden elements were revarnished and given a high-gloss finish. When entering the aircraft, they immediately catch the eye as a highlight. For individual comfort, the owner wanted a re-design of the seat foams. The approval was carried out here with a 3D model that we sent to the customer. Although chic, light yet durable leather dominates the design, the Club Seatings were specifically upholstered in a matching fabric. The choice of fabric for seat upholstery gives unlimited design freedom to the Aircraft intetior. Furthermore it shows even more how important it is to the owner that his interior is individual, functional and above all inviting and simply cozy.
This great Challenger 604 refurbishment project has once again shown us how inspiring and satisfying it is when we meet and precisely implement a customer’s high demands for design, individuality and functionality – down to the last detail. The customer is always at the center of our consulting and actions. He is the one who has to feel comfortable with the new aircraft interior – like in a second home.

Top Trends to Bring Your Private Jet Back in Vogue Here are the top interior design trends that can make your private jet look nicer than your house. Private aviation has always been a hot topic when discussing the environment and recently, there have been many conversations regarding the relationship between private aviation, hygiene, and personal safety. However, this can make us forget that just as our homes are a reflection of ourselves, so too should be our private aircrafts. Now design companies are pulling out all the stops to help enhance your time in the air with custom interiors that reflect who you really are.
What's the deal with airline food? Whether flying economy or first class, no one likes to sit in airline chairs while eating. When using more luxurious forms of travel, like a private jet, expectations for a more comfortable experience grow exponentially. This is why it’s so important to carefully consider how the galley is designed when selecting an aircraft for purchase. The ideal aircraft galley should maximize space while offering the right amenities for refreshments and meals on board. The design of the galley depends heavily upon the range of the aircraft. Most turboprops, light and midsize jets do not have large galleys with coffee makers, microwaves and refrigerators. On short-range aircrafts, passengers often have to bring a coffee thermos or a cooler of beverages on board because available galley space was used for an extra seat instead. As the aircraft moves up in size and range, galley amenities become more sophisticated because meals must be served on board. While often overlooked, the galley is a key factor in making sure, whether you are traveling for a short or long distance, flying privately is an outstanding experience. At the end of the day, your private aircraft is an extension of your home and office. With the right galley and chef, your jet might just also become an extension of your kitchen and new favorite place to have a meal!

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, people are now hyper-aware of the air they are breathing. This is especially true in aviation where everything has been done to ensure that passengers are breathing clean air. In the business aviation industry, the bar has been set even higher with technology and procedures that guarantee the air is as fresh and healthy as possible. For example, you can install a plasma ionizer in your cabin. This is an air purifier that works by emitting both positive and negative oxygen ions which seek out and destroy harmful molecules in the air and on surfaces. Many private jets are also equipped with HEPA air filters which can destroy up to 99.9% of bacteria in a closed circuit. This new process produces fresh air and neutralizes all other particles in the cabin including bacteria and viruses, as well as other harmful or unpleasant odors such as cigarette smoke. Laboratory experiments have suggested that this process can also be very effective against pathogens and allergens, both in the air and on cabin surfaces like seats and shelves.

Comfortable, Stylish, and Eco-Friendly Today you can enjoy a comfortable flight in a stylish seat with a clear consciousness. Leather seats are finally meeting the green technology that could make them obsolete. Vegan upholstery is booming, and it is a lasting trend that totally reshapes everything we knew about interior design. You can choose how to design your space using a selection of non-leather materials (such as Alcantara or synthetic leathers) which come in a wide array of colors and patterns.
Art Elevates Any Aircraft Private jets were not intended to be dull and gray, so why not design the cabin space in a way that can display your favourite artwork? Some private jets have a painting hanging in the entry and others have a sculpture displayed in the main lounge. Most private jets have detailed accents throughout the cabin including handmade bedspreads, fine pillows, blankets, stitching details, and beautiful tapestries. The number of details can be numerous, or you can opt to make a clear statement with a single unique piece of art. How you decide to incorporate art into your cabin design is up to you and your particular taste, but not having art is not an option.
Communication is Everything For some frequent flyers, Wi-Fi while in the air still sounds like a luxury. However, for many private jet owners, fast and reliable internet has become an industry standard that can actually end up saving you money in the long run. Many can’t afford to sacrifice communication every time they fly, whether it be personal or business communications. Voice, data and text from Worldwide Communications and the latest generation of “Ka” or “Ku” band satellite communication systems are now present in every modern jet. Private air travel is supposed to make professionals more agile and available, not lock them inside a box. That’s why great in-flight WiFi is the natural next step when investing in a private jet. It allows passengers to get the most out of their most valuable asset – their time.
The Flying Media Center is the “Must Have Feature” for Every Private Jet The ability to stream the latest content is something people have come to expect anywhere and everywhere. Now the media center is an essential component of any aircraft, and it should be installed with style. Indulge your passengers with surround sound systems for the on-board media room or offer incredible customised audiophile headphones. Install a big screen TV in the media room for everyone to enjoy a movie together or to totally immerse yourself in a video game. Don’t hesitate to take this opportunity to entertain yourself like never before. By using these trends to inspire interior design, any aircraft cabin can become a modern and stylish space. This rings true even for older models which can be renovated and made to look and feel almost new again. Careful refurbishment with the right installations will reshape any jet into a contemporary piece of flying art. Camber aviation experts are experienced in all kinds of jet refurbishment projects. They have their finger on the pulse for new trends and will make sure you have everything you need to fly in style.

CAMO Interior Refurbishment The practical guide how to get things done! How to plan your interior refurbishment First of all, you have to choose an Interior Refurbishment company that is able to get the owner's vision of his new interior design and is able to put this project into reality. So mostly it's either a Maintenance Provider with Interior capabilities or a company doing only interior refurbishments. If you go with your Maintenance provider you should be covered in terms of coordinating the work processes. If you go for a separate interior provider you have to make sure the coordination between the maintenance and interior company runs smoothly which means reduce the aircraft downtime with unnecessary delays.
What else is important for continuing airworthiness You will find a detailed list of what points are important for your interior supervision: Planning & Coordination of Scheduled Maintenance and Interior removal & installation for the refurbishment Documentation (Minor Change Approval, Certification Report, Compliance Report, IPC & Instructions for continuing airworthiness (Part 21 Company involvement)) Usually, a new aircraft weight & balance is required by Part 21 All interior placards and markings must be installed accordingly Update the aircraft continuing airworthiness records with the minor change and add any inspection tasks to your AMP and maintenance tracking software if necessary

Interior Refurbishments on two Bombardier Challenger at ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service In the recent past, we welcomed a Bombardier Challenger 604 for major inspections and a Bombardier Challenger 605 for a pre purchase inspection in our facility at Cologne Bonn Airport. Both customers decided to use downtime for a complete interior refurbishment under direction of our Sales Manager Interior Thorsten Knickenberg. Customer aircraft Challenger 604 stayed in the Cologne hangar for a 96 month and a 192 month inspection and the landing gear to be shipped to the manufacturer for overhaul. The interior refurbishment included work on all leather and fabric components as a complete new carpet, work on seats, sidewalls, headliner and minor repairs of the wooden surfaces of the galley. All work was performed as scheduled and after a check flight without findings the aircraft was released to service even 4 days before the deadline. Customer aircraft Challenger 605 was ferried to ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service to perform a pre purchase inspection including the re-registration for the new owner. Within this project a refurbishment program was set up guiding the client through all processes from idea, concept, planning to realization. Besides of applying new surface technologies by means of an architectural film application, the carpet and curtains have been new manufactured and replaced. The passenger seats shine in a new look with modern styled seat covers and belts, cabin hardware has been plated and additional refurbishment has been performed on cabin linings, reveal- and valance panels. This project as well was completed within time and budget with another satisfied customer enjoying his new interior.
