THE ICON

What is an icon? We believe that an icon is symbolic expressing a certain style and vibe that appeals to the people. For years we have worked with the model Elizabeth May, and ever since the beginning, there has always been a special connection between the publications and Elizabeth’s style. As our brand evolved, we moved from creating a concrete fashion magazine to creating art using photography and graphics to lure people into inspiration. In each collaborative photo shoot with Elizabeth, there always a strong understanding of what it means to inspire beauty and love through art. And with that, we feel we have created an icon.

AVICCI NY is a digital fashion brand that helps you rework what you own for a refreshed style through our inspirational stylebook magazines. A Photo Can Tell a Story Beauty is Everywhere. In all of our photographs we try to accomplish exactly this. Ryan Matthew, founder of AVICCI NY, has a knack for capturing the true beauty and soul of a moment. Each photo has a unique, artful beautifulness to it. Every photograph has a story and this definitely applies to StarStyles. Swiping through the pages of this digital magazine, you will feel one with the story, and not to mention you are also getting inspired to try new things fashion-wise. The Purpose of This Issue This publication is meant for anyone who needs some inspiration. We hope that you will take the content in this issue and use it to help build confidence. However, at the same time we want you to view this magazine as a piece of art. Art has no limitations. Everyone should be able to view this issue with its purpose to inspire through the mediums of digital graphics and photography.

Instead of going all out with accessorizing and layering, it can be much more jaw-dropping when this is expressed through one piece. Fashion doesn't have to be expensive. This metallic silver gown was $50 at H&M, but if I didn’t tell you that, you would’ve never known. Don’t overthink your choices when buying something that needs to make a st a t eme n t . Over the past three years, AVICCI NY and I have done a lot of rebranding and adjusting to match the needs of the people. Two elements that I've kept consistent for these years are the concept of Beauty, and the motto Beauty is E v e r y w h e re . I n e a c h d i g i t a l magazine and campaign, I try to capture the passion I have for fin d i n g t h e i n n e r b e a u t y i n everything. Since the very beginning, when the essence of Beauty is Everywhere was in the works, Lizzie was carefully selected to model for a collaboration with me and a boutique in New York. Once the shoot was over, things clicked and I had to ask Lizzie back for a full coverage spread for two following issues. The simplicity and elegance that Lizzie portrays in each photograph mixes well with my knack for capturing the beauty in the moment. This essence created a whole new brand image for AVICCI NY and led to amazing new opportunities to inspire our readers. With eye-catching shots and collaborations featuring Lizzie as the “face� of the brand, we have found many ways to help inspire people, and that has been a lot of fun. I don't consider my magazine to be a stereotypical fashion magazine. Each publication is its own artwork installed into the Internet. It is art that helps people through my captivating photography and Lizzie's incredible ability to be authentically inspirational, and iconic. BY RYAN MATTHEW
