How KIPP is different High Expectations for Academics & Character By giving excellent educators more time in the classroom, we lay a firm foundation in the core subjects of math, English language arts, science, and social studies. More time also enables a rich variety of experiences—including art, athletics, and music. Our strong emphasis on culture supports a college focus from the start.

Talent & LEadership At the heart of every KIPP school is an extraordinary leader and committed teachers who believe that every child can and will learn. Our success relies heavily on our talented instructors and the investments we make in their professional development. The Fisher Fellowship, KIPP's first-in-class school leader training program is a key component of that investment.

Preparing Our Students for 21st Century Careers By integrating technology into the classroom in innovative and effective ways, we are driving down costs while also preparing our students for the jobs of tomorrow. As a leader in blended learning, our vision is to create classrooms where students are engaged learners and teachers are supported by tools that enable them to use data effectively and differentiate instruction.

Focus on College Completion Our KIPP Through College team supports KIPP alumni, the majority of whom are the first in their family to go to college, throughout their high school and college careers. Through formal partnerships with colleges across the country, KIPP hopes to create a long-term scalable model for college access and completion that others can replicate.

strength of a national network In 2012-13, more than 41,000 KIPPsters are working hard in 125 schools in 20 states and Washington D.C. KPIP’s college completion rate is nearly four times the national average in low-income communities. KIPP is catalyzing the improvement of public education in the communities we serve. We are inspiring competition among other local schools and encouraging the creation of more high-performing networks.

The most influential schools are the ones run by KIPP.
