Whatever valuables you have entrusted G4S to carry for you, All Risk Insurance will immediately fully compensate the interest insured in the event of any loss. You won’t have to wait for lengthy court cases and legal negotiations; your compensation will be effected in the fastest time possible!

Cash Management Solutions

When you take up the All Risk policy, you will also receive a total cash management solution. This gives you use of G4S’ centralised cash handling warehouse. Behind the steel doors and inside the well-protected vault, G4S’ team of keen-eyed professionals will pack, count and store cash on your behalf. This removes the risks attracted by handling the cash at your premises.

Cash in Transit

With this solution working for you, G4S collects any cash or valuables you have, and under armed escort, transports them in ballistic protected vehicles to your desired destination. This leaves your hands free to handle more important aspects of running your business.Your cash and valuables are insured under G4S’s All Risk cover while in transit.

Our crew, in a specially designed vehicle, escorted by armed administration police officers, in Chase Car will drive to a collection point of your choice at time agreed.

The G4S Cash Services Supervisor, who remains the only officer authorized by us to receive any consignments, will head the crew.

The identification details of the crew commander will be contained in our authorized photo list, which we will provide on commencement of the service.

The crew commander will receive cash/valuables in containers already padlocked by your representative. Each container will be sealed with a uniquely numbered G4S seal in addition to the padlock put in place by your representative.

The crew commander will then issue your representative with our official receipt, which should show the details of the seals used.

The sealed containers will be transported to a destination of your choice and will handed over to your authorized representative. Before signing for the containers, your representative will confirm that the seal and padlock are in good order and intact.

Under the Total Cash Management Concept, G4S Security Services will be responsible in managing your cash in Nairobi and Mombasa. In these two Cities, we have Secure vaults constructed to the highest International Standards expected of G4S Security Services Worldwide.

At the moment, we are in charge of distributing Cash for Major Banks in the same way in Nairobi and we are just about to be awarded similar contracts in Mombasa.

We handle this very sensitive assignment through our Cash distribution Centre along Mombasa road (You may wish, with prior appointment, to come and see for yourself what actually goes on in the Cash centre.)

The Group provides ATM outsourcing services to financial institutions, retailers and independent ATM network providers. These services include:

We shall receive cash in Sealed Containers from your representative at Central Bank of Kenya just the way you do at the moment but instead of transporting the Cash to your Cash Centre for Storage and Distribution, we transport to the G4S Security Services Cash centre.

At the G4S Security Services Cash Centre, the cash boxes are opened under dual control while all incidences are recorded under CCTV. This is for control/ monitoring purposes.

When any of your branches require Cash, we receive electronic coded messages on this requirement from your Cash Monitoring Unit. On receipt of the Electronic Coded Message, arrangements are made by our Cash Centre Manager for delivery to be made, strictly adhering to container limits and delivery requirements at all times.

The funds, while enroute to G4S Security Services Vault from Central Bank of Kenya, are carried in specially prepared Cash In Transit Vehicle escorted by Administration police officers in escort vehicles and are covered

under our ALL RISK Global Insurance Policy underwritten by a London Insurance Company through Marsh Insurance Brokers of UK. There are some occasions where some of your branches will hold excess cash over and above the branch vault limit. When this happens, we shall receive Electronic Coded Messages from your Cash Monitoring Unit for us to proceed, offload and transport to our vault for storage purposes.

When the Bank Cash we are holding reaches the limits agreed between G4S Security Services and the Bank, we shall Repatriate the Cash to Central Bank of Kenya. Your Bank Cash monitoring unit will be informed about the Repatriation through Electronic Coded Messages.

We maintain end of day balance certificate daily and also the Normal Control Ledgers.

The system is in place for the other banks on board and is working on well.

Your bank will have authority to conduct snap audit checks on your cash in G4S vault at any time.

Service level agreement (SLA) shall be drawn and agreed upon between G4S Security Services and the Bank.

Funds are covered under our ALL RISK Global Insurance Policy underwritten by a London Insurance Company through Marsh Insurance Brokers of UK. Before the end of banking day, we shall surrender to the bank vouchers showing the exact amount we are holding in Cash. Cheques are presented the same day.

On the strength of the vouchers the bank will credit the customers account.

We shall store the Cash until the bank directs us on where to deliver.

Applicable to banks in areas where we have securer centres.

In areas where we don’t have cash centres we apply the milk run concept sold selectively
